Lothar and Petra JeckelBooked a holiday apartment in the Altmühltal riding stables with the Schwarz family from September 9th, 2024 to September 16th, 2024. We only got key number 9 for the attic at reception. The rooms were not cleaned, a bedside table was missing, a wardrobe was broken. The bathroom had a bad smell. The kitchen furniture is dilapidated, cobbled together. There was MOUSE Poop on the floor under the sink. The drain under the sink was not connected and was open. There were older cobwebs everywhere in the apartment (cobwebs were already brown) and the floor was dirty. We wanted to complain to the hotel the next morning when there was a knock on the door and the caretaker came in and said we could move downstairs to the other apartment. Were very surprised, how did he know about our complaint.I asked about it and got the answer: the three apartments shouldn't have been rented out because there is a burst water pipe up here. Hence the smell in the bathroom. Afterwards we got key number 6 on the first floor and moved on the 2nd day. This apartment was also dirty, not cleaned, everything was full of cobwebs, the bathroom and toilet also smelled bad, the inventory had been collected from somewhere. Bedside lamps have bd. missing. After another complaint -- snotty staff -- unable to fix anything (cleaning the apartment). We left disappointed in the morning of the third day. In our opinion, the holiday apartments in the riding stables are not habitable and the price is much too high (97 euros per night). The bosses were probably very arrogant, none of them tried to talk to us. We sent the caretaker ahead every time.Equestrian center again!!!!!!

Food and breakfast very good, staff very friendly, that's about it for the positive. According to photos and reviews, the hotel promised comfort commensurate with the price. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The buildings are very worn out inside and out, in need of renovation and give a grubby impression. We were looking forward to a nice cycling holiday with friends and were extremely disappointed when we arrived. Cleanliness is also a big problem. Guests from the horse-loving category are probably more tolerant, but a hotel must also be able to meet the expectations of all guests. The paved parking areas were closed, you had to park in the unpaved area behind the stables and carry your luggage a long way. Although we made the booking ten months ago, it was not possible to get the two double rooms we had booked. Our companion had to make do with an unrenovated holiday apartment. Broken doors in the shower enclosure were simply replaced with an unhygienic shower curtain. A shower door in our shower was also unhinged and was just dangling from the top bracket. All in all, the vacation was a big and very expensive failure.

Very nice riding stable, very good breakfast and dinner, rooms immaculate (except for the completely over-enclosed shower), and very friendly and helpful staff — apart from the senior manager. Without that I would have given full marks.

A nice hotel in a very quiet location, perfect if you want to really relax on vacation. The in-house cuisine and its specialties are simply a real culinary delight and deserve the highest praise. Our room was cozy and appropriately designed. Unfortunately, the shower was partially broken and you couldn't use all of the functions. A refrigerator for all guests is available in the hallway. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. In addition, there were no fly screens and so the nights were made very difficult by swarms of mosquitoes. Keeping the balcony door closed was not an option at +30 degrees. The entire staff was very friendly, in a good mood and always available for a chat. The connection to the riding stables is well made and you can experience the rural flair up close.

A very nice riding stable with very friendly staff.Food and drink are great. Very suitable for families with children who like horse riding. Dogs are also welcome. The hotel has modern rooms, pool, games room and sauna. There are enough horses, ponies, a donkey, rabbits. You can book riding lessons with 2 very good riding trainers from the age of 6 or pony tours with younger children. The greatest praise is when the children like it and our 5 year old daughter liked it so much that we will definitely come back.Thank you for the lovely holiday.

A very familiar hotel with a riding stable. The rooms are relatively modern. The breakfast was very good and the staff were always very friendly. The rooms would be even better with fly screens. The most important thing for the children was of course the riding stable. We could visit the horses at any time. She really enjoyed the riding lessons. Leading the pony for the little one was also very fun.The stable staff were all very friendly and helpful! The location of the riding stable is very good. Nearby is the beautiful Altmühlsee with the adventure playground with water playground. In the beautiful town of Gunzenhausen, just a few authorities away, there is a great old town and a great outdoor pool suitable for children - the Waldbad am Limes. An hour's drive and you're in the Playmobil Funpark. We enjoyed the vacation very much. The children didn't want to leave and are already planning their next vacation at the riding stables.
