Was there for the second time and enjoyed it very much. Uncomplicated and friendly service. Clean and well-kept condition of the rooms and common areas.Thank you very much for the lovely time

The location and rooms are great. It would be better I think if somebody was there welcoming the people and also giving the option of paying with credit.

Unfortunately very unhygienic!

It is a large apartment that is divided into 3 smaller "apartments". Bathroom, kitchen and lounge are to be used together.The first thing that was noticed negatively was the access to the building. You need a numerical code to open a small metal box that is attached outside the entrance. The key ring for the apartment is in there. In order to open the front door you need a PIN. The apartment or room doors are also very difficult to open with a bunch of keys. On the doors you always have to enter a code directly on the knob on a tiny control panel... The whole operation was a disaster, so precise instructions in advance would have been important. As soon as we understood everything, the next roommates came who had the same problem as us.When we arrived in the room, we immediately noticed that our room had not yet been cleaned and that there were still groceries left by the previous tenant. Although it is advertised that you can move in from 2 p.m. Lt. The landlord had to leave the cleaner at short notice.We agreed that the cleaner would come by again later in the afternoon to clean up. I also told the landlord what was still dirty, for example. It was a lot!When we came back in the evening, it was vacuumed and the garbage was disposed of... BUT no matter whether it was the table, television, glass paneling, furniture... Everything was still full of dust, once waved in the air with a towel, and was standing in a cloud from dust. A disaster for people with allergies. An open bottle of white wine from our previous tenant suddenly appeared in the communal kitchen... Tasty and hygienic :(Another negative aspect was that pets were apparently tolerated there. Neighbors in the apartment had a large dog with them, which smelled unpleasantly in the common areas and left hair everywhere. Another disaster for allergy sufferers. By the way, all of the common areas were just as dirty as our room.It should be noted that the landlord never showed up during the entire 3 day stay. Attempts to call were not answered. ...Apparently the landlord is not interested in the condition of the apartment.The furnishings of the room are a joke.No storage space or cupboards for the wardrobe. There was a small drawer cupboard, but it was crammed with an extra duvet, pillows and bed linen, making it unusable.Some of the furniture is old and unsightly.Attic in August 30+ Celsius, no fan or air conditioner.No curtains on the windows facing the street.With 2 other roof windows you can only see a satellite dish.The double bed was far too soft and cannot be accessed from three sides!!! You have to crawl from the foot of the bed into the bed!!! Of course there was no side table either. So I couldn't use an urgently needed medical device...A flexed cash box in the kitchen was used to hand over keys!CONCLUSION: Good location in the city center of Passau, but given the serious deficiencies, the next time I visit Passau I would rather stay in the hotel, which is clean, air-conditioned and has a parking lot.

Unfortunately no recommendation.We were at a wedding and unfortunately weren't allowed to check in an hour early. So we were supposed to check in at night and an SMS gave us a code, which worked for the time being. Unfortunately, we only noticed that our room was occupied twice. So not only were we given room 6, but also two friends who had booked there independently of us. Since there was no option to look for another hotel at such short notice that night, four of us had to occupy the room. Of course without comfort. In retrospect we can only say that luckily we knew the other 2 people. However, this double occupancy does not guarantee the service that was booked, nor the security of privacy or personal belongings that could have been left in a booked room.I also have to agree with the review that the cleanliness left a lot to be desired and the coffee machine wasn't functional either. The rating is therefore really not worth a star and you have to advise against booking here.

Edit; The claim that I received the refund is a lie. I have screenshots and emails that prove this is not true, so nice try. Not only you steal, but you lie as well.DO NOT STAY HERE!! The owner gives out the master/admin key that opens every single room to other guests.. We had to leave after one night, since one of the guests informed us of this and showed us that the code opens any room. We didn't feel safe, neither were we able to leave our belongings in the room. The owner is not helpful at all. He barely speaks English, so if he does not understand what you want, which he never does, he hangs up in your face. It's been 9 days and we are still waiting for our refund, that who knows if it will ever happen.

Top location, super nice rooms & studios.Unfortunately everything was very dirty and dingy - wet and stained bed linen. Mattresses & toppers stained.Hygienically quite borderline. You only walk barefoot on breadcrumbs and hair!Generally extremely dirty!

Top hostel with a great location. Nicely furnished, hygienic and, above all, someone could be reached immediately when I needed help.

Once you have found your way around the key situation and then enter the iron-clad gate to the venerable patrician house with an impressive staircase, you can already tell that this is not normal accommodation. In fact, the FINEST accommodation offering is located on the upper floor of the townhouse. Modernly designed double rooms with the renovated flair of the 18th century. The 2 shared bathrooms with everything a private bathroom has to offer take some getting used to but are well presented and usable. A very friendly and helpful service staff, a billiards table, a roof terrace with a view of the Danube and the old town of PASSAU round off the visit very positively. The location: in the middle of the city, 3 minutes walk to the cathedral and 6 minutes to the downtown adventure mile. I can only recommend it. There is no breakfast, but there is a top kitchen and there are no limits for the guest. RECOMMENDED!

Beautiful rooms but 2 bathrooms with toilets for 6 rooms (capacity 16 people) to share with strangers... The bathroom is not always very clean with blocked bathtub and bathroom linen smelling bad but ideally located for visiting Passau
