Great location in Salzburg. Ahmed was very helpful throughout our week-long stay. Rooms had amazing showers (holy water pressure!!!!), but definitely needed more light throughout. Rooftop bar was great too, with very attentive bartenders.Massage services are not on-site so know that you’ll have to order way in advance. Customer service at the front desk varies depending on who you get.Overall a good experience.

We had a lovely stay here. The room was lovely, with air-con and beautiful view over the old town. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We didn’t get breakfast at the hotel though, as it was expensive and there are plenty of breakfast options in very close proximity to the hotel for much less. The location is perfect, putting you in walking distance to all the important features in Salzburg city centre. I would recommend.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough!! Over the years, my husband and I have set some annoyingly high standards for hotels when we travel. It must have a comfy bed, must be quiet, have good amenities.. etc. And the Hotel Stein checked every box and then some. We were on the second floor and you couldn’t hear a thing from down below, even though you’re in the heart of the city. We had an amazing view, we were close to a lot of great shopping and restaurants, and the rooftop restaurant is truly a great spot for lunch and breakfast because it is so peaceful and beautiful. And the food was great too! In the rooms, the beds were super comfortable! We kept coming back to relax during the day and we didn’t wanna leave the bed. The water pressure was amazing- my husband now wants to get a rain shower put in our house. The towels were really nice, and the rooms are very spacious. Our room came with an espresso machine and the hotel always had free water, which is always such a perk. The staff were so kind and helpful and patient with us! They gave us great recommendations and mapped out things to do all over the city. Jasmine, in particular, was so helpful with finding food places for us because we’re vegetarian. Thank you for being such a great hotel! It was our first time in Salzburg, and you made it special! We will be back. (:

We found this place at the very last minute after an airbnb left us stranded. The front desk staff was very kind and helpful and got us into the last two rooms. The room was clean, cool, and quiet. Location was in the middle of everything, we walked everywhere. Wish we had booked this place from the start.
