After the many rather bad reviews, we prepared ourselves for the worst! But we were pleasantly surprised! First of all, the room is really okay, actually great for this price! Nothing is missing, except that we initially only discovered a double bed for 3 people. The third person, after calling the friendly service, should sleep on the hard couch…4 stars anyway because of the great breakfast buffet: it's included in the price and incredibly varied. Cozy location, beautiful view from the winter garden… I haven't had such a good hotel breakfast in a long time!Everyone has to know for themselves… I can only recommend it!

No, that's not how service works. The pictures on the internet hardly reflect reality. The reception is never staffed, if you have any requests you have to contact the breakfast lady. The "pool" is a joke. (Water lily pond with goldfish, no one wants to swim there. The rooms have the charm of the 80s, the bathroom is 70s and moderately clean.

I can't recommend it from A to Z. Price performance is certainly not right.

Unfortunately no sleeping space in a suite prepared for children. There was only a hard sofa bed with insufficient size where there is simply no room for 2 children and I specifically requested a room with 4 beds over the phone! I asked and was promised. It wasn't clean here either, that's unfortunately the reality.Unfriendly employeesThe pool - honestly, pool?Breakfast was very poor quality and for the most part everything was several days old.The 1 star is for the location and not for the accommodation.

Room ideally accessible on foot from the promenade. Unfortunately, the wonderful breakfast buffet is only available until 10 a.m. Unfortunately the swimming pond no longer looked suitable for swimming...Otherwise price performance top

On the run from Munich, we had mistakenly rented a night at the Holiday Inn for the European Championships (mercilessly overcrowded), we ended up at the Maximilian late in the evening. Telephone contact was really nice. Room absolutely great with a view of the Schliersee. The staff at breakfast were super nice, the buffet was excellent. Nothing was missing. Price performance top. We would come back at any time. Thank you. Great hotel

The room is an unspectacular, inconspicuous hotel room, the bathroom is unfortunately 1970s style. Cleanliness is fine, breakfast is fine. The lady who prepares breakfast is very friendly and helpful. The view we have from the balcony is gigantic 👍. Otherwise There are no staff apart from the cleaning staff. What's really bad is that there isn't even a drinks machine in the house where the guest can get a drink. That's a total no-go!!!!

We were there over the weekend and had a pleasant timeThe rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, the only drawback - the balcony door wasn't completely tight or was broken (couldn't be tilted) and whenever someone smoked on another balcony, the smell of smoke wafted in to us.The breakfast was good and the two ladies who took care of it were friendly and helpfulThe sauna is very small (max 3-4 people space otherwise it will be tight) but nicely furnished, it is definitely enough for a sweat after hiking :)All in all, the price-performance ratio was definitely right here 👍🏼

The location was nice, but the hotel wasn't worth the money.(among other things, a neglected "swimming pond" in the garden in which no one would want to swim, see also under rooms...)
