I had telephone contact with Ms. J. and she in turn had contact with the hotel management. I don't want to exaggerate, but everyone was so warm and nice and eager to solve my problem that this is no longer an everyday occurrence. My colleague from the accommodation only reported good things. I'm looking forward to the coming stay. Best regards to the entire Lux team!

We didn't stay in the hotel, but the bar is sooooo good.❤️Unfortunately we had a waiter today on September 7th, 2024 who said he had it, unfortunately not. Ordered water without gas, got it with gas, ordered Pinot Gris for 35 euros, he said the one for 45 would be better, then took the one for 45 and got the one for 35. Unfortunately, it always comes down to staff. The bar can't do anything about it but the boss should take a closer look.

Absolutely brilliant location. Smack back by Marienplatz, the Market, Hofbrauhaus -and stacks of bars, restaurants and other tourist sites. Ready close to U-Bahn station too so very easy to get around Munich. Room was quite small but compensated by location. No aircon or lift. Bar staff were very helpful.

A small nice simple hotel above a restaurant/bar. Very friendly staff. We had a nice clean room.There's no elevator, A/C or safe with a timer, but if you can live without that, it's a great location to explore Munich.A room away from the street side would be recommended, as the street is already busy at night in summer.

We were there from August 5th. at Lux until August 8th, 2024 and enjoyed a very nice stay there. When we arrived we were greeted extremely friendly and warmly. We enjoyed a welcome coffee and another drink in the bar. During this time the luggage was already brought to our room on the third floor, really great service! The rooms are nicely decorated and everything was clean. There are no excessive luxuries here, such as a refrigerator or air conditioning, but this is absolutely not to be expected for the great price in combination with the excellent location. The hotel is in close proximity (<5 minutes walk) to, for example, Hofbräuhaus, Marienplatz, Frauenkirche and Viktualienmarkt. In the morning at around 7:30 a waste glass was picked up from the street in front of the hotel by a disposal vehicle, which of course caused a lot of noise. Due to the high temperatures, we had the windows open/tilted the first night, but we recommend keeping the windows closed. With the windows closed we no longer found this to be a nuisance.There are no parking spaces directly at the hotel, we used the Contipark Oberanger, which costs €17/24h with the Contipark PCard (otherwise €40/24h).All in all, this hotel is the ideal starting point for a city trip in Munich! The old town can be explored on foot and everything else can be easily reached via public transport at Marienplatz.Therefore, it deserves a 5* rating and the Lux will be our preferred hotel in Munich for our next stay!

We stayed at the Hotel Lux with 8 people from Friday to Sunday. It was brilliant, as soon as we checked in the two ladies were very, very nice and helpful. The hotel has its own charm. Of course not everything is super modern, but you feel comfortable, very comfortable and everything is clean. We really enjoyed the bar with its large selection of cocktails, whiskey, rum and much more after our day trips. The staff was super nice and always answered our two USA visitors' questions in English. The breakfast was very good, plentiful and very appealing to the eye. We all felt very comfortable and will definitely come again on our next visit to Munich. All I can say about the location is brilliant. We put the bus in the underground car park on Friday afternoon and picked it up again on Sunday for the return journey. The hotel is so centrally located that you don't need a car. The employees were all very polite, nice, courteous and helpful. In short, it was a really nice weekend. Thank you dear Lux team👍👌👏

Super super nice staff! Really great whether at the reception or in the bar. Room nice and bright clean. The breakfast perfect. All of our wishes were fulfilled. The location is really great. And the bar is great. The cocktails are really tasty. If it were possible I would give 10 points. When we come back to Munich we will only stay at the Hotel Lux. Many thanks to the entire team: you are great!!!!

Great restaurant, have been coming here for years.The Caesar salad is exceptionally good. The chef can't be from Bavaria!I've tried Caesar's salad all over the world, but this was the best so far! We'd love to come back.

The welcome was as warm as one rarely experiences. You immediately feel like you are a guest among friends. The whole house, including the bar and restaurant, has a consistently charming atmosphere and the staff is really welcoming. We are still completely enchanted and will definitely check in here again should we be in Munich again. Thanks to the Hotel Lux team!

Arrived after my train directly to the hotel. Had the booking paid for and confirmed in my email but when I arrived they said I had cancelled the reservation. I said clearly I have the email here to and showed them, and "nothing was cancelled". They basically brushed it off, said we are fully booked.In a last minute I was forced to search for a hotel in a very over booked city with stupid short notice.I found the hotel years ago when searching and noticing what looked like a really great cocktail bar. Sadly things changed, it looks more run down, and they give a care about customers.Lessons learned and never again!
