Hotel Cocoon Sendlinger Tor

Super helpful staff, small but very comfortable room, great location for Oktoberfest (5min walk), lots of eateries nearby and great access to public transportation. Surprisingly quiet for a busy location. Their breakfast is top notch!!

Cannot recommend this hotel.No matter how hip and trendy you want to be, I'm in a hotel, a self-check-in where I do your job like at Lidl is just completely out of place.Early morning coffee? Sorry, we have to spend another 30 minutes in front of the machine debating in pseudo English why no milk is coming out. By the way, I had to think about the "sorry" because I couldn't hear a "good morning" or a "sorry" from any of the employees.... There were a lot of them, but obviously no training whatsoever in theirs enjoyed life. I said a friendly good morning, but even that wasn't reciprocated by the staff.Sauna? Nope.The underground car park entrance is built so that you still have about 2 cm of space on the right and left.Just around the corner is half of the Orient with all the goods and the associated personalities.Oh well, a shower system that makes it impossible not to flood the hallway when you want to close the shower door after showering.But in 2 minutes, Shaun the Sheep plays music on a continuous loop during breakfast. So that the brainwash, aka, "they want their room cleaned" - "but they have to announce that beforehand, because of sustainability and stuff" really hits home.What a parallel universe of 20 year olds who think they understand the term service in some form.To get a drink in a 1/4 full hotel bar in the evening, you only have to wait 15 minutes...So I have no idea, it's a youth hostel with no service, with pseudo-pretty rooms that aren't well thought out and extreme prices.Of course, being poorly insulated is also good form.

We have been here several times and each time it has been a wonderful stay. In my opinion, the Cocoon is one of the best hotels in Munich. Very nice, well thought out rooms, incredibly friendly staff and great location. I would give 6 stars.

Actually 5 out of 5. Cool rooms, very nice staff, super centrally located.But: currently under complete renovation. It's best to check whether this is still the case if you are sensitive to noise. Because: The entire building is scaffolded, the roof is being removed and an elevator is being installed. In my case that meant: from 7:12 a.m. construction noise that penetrated even through earplugs. If you are not prepared for it because it was not communicated, it would be rather annoying.

Nice staff and fair priceUnfortunately the bed is only 190cm long and has a wooden frame at the bottom that goes over the mattress.The toilet is also let's say a bit narrow.At 185cm the door just closes.....

The Hotel Cocoon (Sendlinger Tor) is a very modern hotel in the center of Munich.The furnishings of the lobby / bar as well as the rooms are stylish, modern but also pleasant and warm.The rooms were clean and definitely big enough.Of course there are some signs of wear (cracks and stains on the walls, traces of limescale in the shower, etc.), but nothing major.The hotel has its own underground car park, but you cannot reserve it.Here it can happen that you don't get a parking space and therefore have to look for a parking space on site. It's a shame but not unusual for Munich.As part of the hotel's service, guests can get free water (still/sparkling) from the bar, which I think is excellent.All in all, I would stay at this hotel again.

Well-organised rooms, very kind and professional staff, three of whom speak Italian, excellent and well-assorted breakfast, we undoubtedly recommend it also for the good level of assistance and advice for visiting …

Nice and cozy room. One star deducted only because the mattress was very hard.Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired.
