The following description of an attempted accommodation in the "Hotel" Bayerischer Hof in Prien am Chiemsee should serve as a serious warning for future inexperienced guests, with the utmost importance being placed on a correct and absolutely truthful portrayal of the incident.Check-in by a competent-looking female receptionist. Completely overwhelmed, unfriendly younger waiter in the associated restaurant (menu only with QR code - absolute no-go). 20 minutes after the table was set up, an extremely rude banishment was made from the table because of a pre-order. When asked about the rudeness, this waiter apologized (although he was probably a catering assistant, especially since the job of a waiter requires several years of training, among other things, in dealing politely with guests).A correct request was made to a guest sitting alone to change seats, which was rejected in an extremely rude and flippant manner by the guest (black African). Apparently arising from a private conversation when leaving the restaurant and a harmless remark taken completely out of context, all four of us guests were asked to leave by a visibly aging lady at the reception in the most aggressive manner and with an inappropriately harsh tone leave the house for three minutes. Apparently we insulted the waiter, which was in no way true. The previously mentioned gastro assistant was suddenly also present and repeated the three-minute request in a very excited and aggressive manner. To crown this ignoble spectacle, a larger, older gentleman, who had previously been completely uninvolved, appeared and repeated the request to leave the location. This was done in such a threatening/aggressive manner that the fists were already clenched and oral fluids were expelled uncontrollably with a bright red/sweaty face.Since there now seemed to be serious concern for our physical safety and integrity, the location was immediately abandoned. Previously, another younger male person appeared wearing a black hoodie, who also acted in the same aggressive manner. The conclusion of this incident, which is reminiscent of Wild West scenes, would be: Obviously the actors are a family group, otherwise such unjustified aggressive/clucky behavior would not be explainable. All of the people described should certainly consider anti-aggression therapy, although given the severity of this apparent illness, psychotherapy would probably be more effective. In Germany, the costs could already be covered by health insurance companies. This exact incident will of course also be reported to the responsible tourism authorities in Bavaria, although legal action is reserved due to the impossibility of finding alternative accommodation (expulsion from this establishment at 9.35 p.m.).Reference is also made to other reviews, which also refer to the aggressive nature of these people. The big name - Hotel Bayerischer Hof - unfortunately has nothing to do with the history and culture of these people.

We were here 5 years ago.Already noticed differences. Breakfast and staff were good. Very friendly and attentive. The food in the restaurant was also very good.Unfortunately it was very loud and it wasn't possible to sleep in for long. You could hear city vehicles, clothes washing coming and going.

Best aspect of hotel was the location, close to the train station & in the villageBedrooms are very basic with little to no shelf space in the bathroom. Miniature shower. We had one small meal & drinks in their restaurant. Some evenings it doesn’t open. Service was very very slow.Nice sauna area. Common areas also nice. Breakfast good.If I returned to Chiemsee, I would not plan on staying here.

Quiet modern hotel at a fair price. There are free parking spaces for hotel guests in the courtyard. Rooms have a fan, but unfortunately there is no air conditioning. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the lake. Staff very friendly.

Very clean and modern hotel, we (with a 3-year-old child) felt very comfortable! The room was great! Large bathroom, modern shower, large bed, small balcony, refrigerator, Wi-Fi included... The breakfast buffet was more than sufficient and really tasty, the staff was always friendly and attentive! We would love to come back! ***** The footpath to Chiemsee leads through the city, easy to reach in 15 minutes. Centrally located, parking spaces are available. Everything perfect!

Our decision to spend a week at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Prien am Chiemsee should not be disappointed.||The family-run hotel impresses with a mixture of modern and tradition, as well as a fine eye for detail. …
