We had lunch today in the Neptun Restaurant! The goulash was very good and something different than fish and schnitzel! But my fish with the homemade mayonnaise was also really good! Be sure to come back on your next Schillig vacation! What should be particularly highlighted is the friendliness of the staff, which is not a given! Thumbs up for that alone!!!

The review refers exclusively to the Neptun restaurant; I did not visit the associated hotel.Tasty and well prepared, the daily special “beef goulash with spaetzle” for €15.90 was tasty but still very little. The other dishes on the menu were appropriate for the price and also very tasty according to the people sitting next to me. The staff is friendly, attentive and also warm to regular guests. Any additional request such as remoulade with fish was charged at €2 for a tablespoon-sized dollop, mayonnaise and ketchup with fries at €0.70. Not necessarily justified and not announced either.The restaurant is simple but quite chic and definitely well attended. There is no real competition in town, the location is central and flexible thanks to the partially covered terrace.

Ordered takeaway from the Neptun restaurant. Delicious! The goulash (daily menu) was buttery and the plaice fillet was also really great. Price/performance is completely appropriate.

Spontaneous 2-day short trip with dog, room large and clean, small balcony, staff whether in the hotel or in the restaurant TOP, breakfast TOP, restaurant was delicious, clear recommendation for the hotel/restaurant!

We had lunch in the restaurant.Unfortunately we were disappointed.Everything was just fried. We still have the taste of old oil in our mouths today.

We had a double room with a balcony with a huge TV. A super nice bathroom. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was the best so far (and we get around a lot..) The parking lot and the location were just good. We'll definitely be back!! The food in the restaurant was also great!

The breakfast is one of the best I've ever seen (compared to Hilton & similar hotels). The staff is very friendly and accommodating.We stayed in the attic double room. That's why I don't know if other rooms in the hotel are like this. The bed was very comfortable, with very good pillows and duvets. The room is old and neglected, urgently in need of renovation. But everything was very clean! The shutters were hanging crooked and could hardly or not be operated at all. The windows were difficult to open and close. The floor creaks with every movement. The carpet makes waves so you can't open and close the doors properly. The door handles are loose because you have to pull them because of the carpet. The room was very small and you had to squeeze past the bed to get out of the bedroom. There was only a free socket on one side of the bed. Another free socket was next to the wardrobe. It's good that we had long charging cables with us, because that's not enough for normal charging cables. The closet in the bedroom looked new. The “main door” ALWAYS only opened after holding the room card for the third time. We paid around €350 for 4 nights upon request. We weren't able to try out the restaurant, but they charged €30 for a normal rump steak. (It was written on the board). You are not allowed to choose your own seats at breakfast; this is decided by the hotel based on the room number on the table. For us it was the same table every day.

Everyone was very nice, we were able to park the car before checking in. Breakfast is great. Huge selection and everything was delicious.

I can't say anything about the hotel, but we ate there and unfortunately I have to say that I've never had such a bad meal. The bit of salad looked like it came out of the box, the fried potatoes were soggy and the schnitzel didn't taste like anything. My husband didn't have Asian noodles, but spaghetti tossed in butter. It was our wedding anniversary today and we don't go out to eat often, so we were even more disappointed. We laughed about it later, but the price was more like crying. With 2 drinks around 40€. The service was very nice and quick, so there was still a tip. However, we won't be eating there anymore.
