What a wonderful view from the terrace of the beach and the Elbe.We rented here for a few days and were super satisfied.The online check-in took some getting used to, we had minor problems, but that was more our fault.The room had everything a room needs and was nice and clean, and the daily refresh also worked perfectly.There were probably problems here in the past, I spoke to the housekeeper and they made improvements.It's great when companies respond to criticism.We'll definitely be back.Thank you for the great stay!

I don't usually write long feedback, but I did notice a few things about the accommodation, so let's summarize it in bullet points:- Check-in/out = everything was great and problem-free- Location itself is great, but absolutely suboptimal for people with a car (+ possibly a lot of luggage); The hotel does not have its own parking space, vehicles are sometimes banned on weekends and in general the limited parking spaces are usually full. For us it was a longer search for a parking space every day + at least 10 minutes on foot. Of course, this isn't a negative point for anyone who only travels on foot/by bus. If we had known about the parking problem beforehand, we would actually have booked somewhere else (it was important for us because of our job) - clear information from the hotel regarding the area would have been helpful.- View: generally great, but not on the 1st floor: guests from the restaurant/from the street can sometimes see into the room. There are only curtains that are opaque (too = rather dark). Transparent curtains would be helpful here so that you have some privacy if you want to let in daylight.- The room is poorly designed and looked completely different in the photos! It was really tight, there was hardly any room to move.- There is no elevator(?), which may be problematic for people with a lot of luggage/'weaker' people- The room was not equipped with air conditioning, but it gets very warm. A pedestal fan was installed - I would expect something 'better' for a hotel in this price category.- There is currently a musty smell in the house (water damage?); A scent freshener would help here- Every time you go in and out you have to go through the “terrace” of the restaurant below. It's not nice. One evening there was "closed society" - we had to go through there too (also annoying for the restaurant guests?). In addition, the event lasted until late in the evening - it was very loud on the first floor with the windows open, but just as hard to bear with the windows closed due to the heat.

The accommodation was not started because it was completely canceled, the price was only refunded with 32 euros and 400 euros were simply withheld. Neither Booking.com nor the hotel itself solve the problem. Unbelievable stuff like that. I will consider legal action.

If you want to cancel the booking 1.5 weeks before the booked date because of a broken foot and the hotel refuses, then this is a very annoying experience for me and means that we will definitely not book there again.If the hotel then offers a breakfast option nearby for our booking from Monday to Tuesday, which generally does not offer breakfast and is also closed on Monday and Tuesday, then you have experienced the complete feel-good experience of this hotel.

Great room with a view of the Elbe. Unfortunately there was no room service for 5 days, which was a bit of a challenge with small children. Unfortunately there is no breakfast on site (bus shuttle...) and on weekends the beach path is not accessible without a special permit (obtain from the police station at Blomkamp!). This makes traveling with children and luggage very difficult.

PRO: The location directly on the Elbe is great. You walk out the door and you're right in front of the beach.CONTRA: The room is furnished carelessly and purely functionally. There are uncovered spare blankets on the cupboard, the window facing the yard has been covered with frosted glass foil so that you don't look directly at the smelly garbage cans. The room itself is a walk-through room and designed as an escape route with an escape door. Unfortunately, these were only the first impressions, because there was a sharp metal lid from a peanut can and a lot of dirt on the floor. There were greasy streaks of liquid on the back of the bed. The bathroom mirror was full of marks and the toilet hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The toilet cleaner had a lot of feces on it.We paid for the breakfast we ordered and didn't receive it. The remote customer service assured us that we would receive the cost of the breakfast back within 10 days at the latest. After contacting us several times, including in writing, there was no refund of the breakfast or compensation even after more than 14 days. The price/performance would have been borderline even without the complaints. Unfortunately we can't recommend it and as former Blankenese residents you feel a little embarrassed.

Check-in and check-out only work via the internet, personal contact is nil. The room was renovated and had a unique view of the Elbe. The TV programs didn't work, the soap wasn't replenished. That's it for the negative points, otherwise everything was fine.

The quality of the accommodation was unsatisfactory. The online hotel looked good on the Internet, but appearances are deceptive. There were damp, used towels in the closet, the refrigerator was dirty, and the shower drained poorly. The room wasn't cleaned once in three days. There was no contact person on site. Only the breakfast in Bistro Riva was excellent. The service and food were great here, thank you very much!

The cleanliness is poor. Not even the toilet seat was wiped off, so there are still urine stains from the previous tenant on it. Mirrors and doors also not cleaned. Found hair in bed. Bedding torn. I slept in pants and a t-shirt.

When we arrived it was raining cats and dogs - but there is no hotel parking lot. Park wherever you can.Then we had to ask for a code by phone to get in and get to our room. There was no reception or staff on site.There wasn't an elevator either. So carry everything up first.When we finally entered our room, the next surprise: the skylight was open and the room was under water. We called again. But shortly afterwards we were offered a replacement room. At least that worked well. So put all the crap back down. TV and coffee machine are probably all very modern. We couldn't handle it.The next day we had to move again. We really didn't like that. We hadn't left the skylight open.Then to the booked breakfast. The cook was canceled - for whatever reason. We were offered another option in town. Others also got stranded there. We felt sorry for the staff…There is probably an investor behind this who only sees the profit - not the people.Two weeks later we were in a SPA hotel - with a swimming pool and sauna and a lavish breakfast buffet - only slightly more expensive but not comparable. We would come back here at any time. But never again in the Blankenese beach house on the Elbe - which you couldn't see from the room.

The room was tiny. Directly opposite the bed was an emergency exit into another stairwell. This door could have easily been opened from the outside with a key. Not a good feeling as a solo traveler. The bathroom was missing a bath mat so it was impossible to get the bathroom dry after showering. The biggest annoyance was that the heating seemed to be turned off between 10:30 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. This is not possible at all when the outside temperature is below zero. I received no response to my query.
