Super nice stay! We (4 people) traveled to Cuxhaven at short notice in the high season because we urgently needed a change of scenery and some air and sea after a bereavement in the family.The nice lady at the reception was happy to show us the last two free rooms and we took both straight away.The location is great, centrally at the harbor and yet absolutely quiet. At most you can hear the sound of a ship and of course the seagulls. I am very sensitive to noise and didn't hear anything from other guests in the room.The large hotel car park is directly opposite, but costs €10 per day. However, we were allowed to leave the car behind on the day of departure because we had booked a harbor tour.Our rooms were modern and brightly renovated, a small sofa with a view of the sea, a desk, a shelf with a kettle, black and green tea, instant coffee sticks, sugar and sweeteners and a bottle of water. Very attentive!The beds are incredibly comfortable, the two pillows are great, I have rarely slept as well away from home as I did in this hotel. The small niches with a socket right next to the headboard of the bed are very practical for cell phones etc. The bathroom is super chic with enough towels, two bath mats, rain shower and towel warmer. There was also a SPA bag with 4 sauna towels. Two fluffy bathrobes were in the closet. Everything was very clean, big thanks to the housekeeping!We found it very positive that the smoking ban applies not only in the room but also on the balcony. So you only smell fresh sea air and not involuntarily the steam from your neighbor's lung torpedoes ;-)The higher the floor, the better the view from the room, but you can also see the water well on the second floor. And from the small balcony with two chairs you can comfortably watch the ships and the hustle and bustle around the harbor.After arriving we went straight to the SPA area. We were pleasantly surprised, everything here was chic, bright and new, with a few loungers next to the swimming pool, a shower, and the evening sun shone through the “winter garden windows”, it was really wonderful. The swimming pool is not too big but warm and with the counter-current system you can also swim sportily or have your back massaged. The sauna area next to it has a hot Finnish sauna and a pleasantly temperate bio sauna. Both saunas are of a good size, there was enough space for the three of us to lie down. There is also a steam salt grotto, a steam bath, two showers, a shower with a cold water bucket and two loungers. The illuminated dune landscape on the wall is very appropriate and creates a nice atmosphere. The SPA is open until 10pm in the evening and we were there all alone. In the morning you can swim from 6:30 a.m., which we really liked.The breakfast on the 6th floor with the most amazing view is of course the absolute highlight. You can see the entire entrance to the Elbe and watch the large and small boats. The offer is really extensive, different types of bread and rolls, a few types of sweet pastries, fresh Bircher muesli, very fresh fruit salad, muesli, coffee maker, various sausage and cheese sours, salmon, small jars of crab salad, fresh egg salad and herb quark, Mett , freshly sliced ​​fruit, cucumbers, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon, beans in tomato sauce, various juices and if you like even sparkling wine, the selection is really great and everything was very tasty. Big thanks to the kitchen. The service was also very nice, unobtrusive and relaxed. It's worth coming early for breakfast to get a seat at the window. But you can also look out from the other raised tables. Don't stress, you're on vacation.The team at reception was very friendly and helpful at all times.I can absolutely recommend the hotel with a clear conscience. The view of the water from bed alone is unparalleled anywhere else.

A hotel that you can happily recommend. The location is great, right near the harbor. The staff is very friendly except for a certain person at the reception 😕 the breakfast was very good 👍 and the service there was very attentive. The rooms were clean but incredibly warm 🤷 otherwise the stay was pleasant 👍

No eye candy from the outside and the inside too. Unfortunately the hotel disappointed us very much. It's getting very old and you can see that on every corner. It also smells strongly of old.

Very good hotel, nice breakfast, good spa area, quiet rooms. Even the room closest to spa was quiet. In the room bathrobe, extra towel and slippers - all handy for the use in spa. |Parking area is sufficient, two parkings one in the front of the main entrance and one in the backyard. Costs 10€ per night, but always spots available.

Was pleasantly surprised. Nice rooms, a very, very good breakfast and a great spa area. The staff super friendly. You don't have a sandy beach on your doorstep, but you do have a view of the sea and the many ships.

Spent a long weekend here with the family over Easter. The location, right next to Alte Liebe, is very central. The hotel and the rooms are very well equipped in a maritime style. The view from our balcony of the mouth of the Elbe is unique. Half the world comes here by ship. You can lose track of time while watching the ships. The hotel is located directly at the marina and the promenade to Duhnen starts in front of the door. Parking spaces can be found directly in front of the hotel. A small petit train stops near the hotel and takes those with foot problems to Duhnen without having to walk. There is also a very well-stocked breakfast buffet in an exceptional panoramic location on the top floor with a view of the sea. We will definitely come back again.
