Had a very comfortable stay at Zum Kanzler while visiting family in the Nienburg area. Room was very spacious and full of windows. Excellent location in center of town. Soft linens and comfortable bed. …

Depending in where you stay... the old part looks old, "used" and you can spot damages on furniture and rooms (windows could have been cleaned more frequent). The new house and rooms are by far more pretty and makes a stay really great. Since the breakfast room was under construction/ renovation I can't say much about it (basically nothing because we had to go to a nearby bakery where they had a deal with).

We stayed at the Hotel zum Kanzler on the Weser cycle path in April. We were welcomed more than warmly, the “room” was incredibly beautiful and spacious. The breakfast (unfortunately we missed one) was great, very informal and with nice conversations with the owner. Yes, we were there out of season so the time slots were perhaps easier, but Mr. Bokeloh obviously cares about his guests' well-being. Always happy and highly recommended!

Perfect location!Very nice people in service!Breakfast in another building, approx. 100 meters from the hotel. But it doesn't matter because the nice service continues! The breakfast is very rich!Beautiful rooms! The only drawback is that there is no way to get drinks!Could this be helped with a vending machine? The rest is great!!!

Just a few meters from the Weser cycle path. In a small alley off the pedestrian zone. So very quiet. Our room was super spacious and the bed had a good mattress. We received a very friendly welcome. Good accommodation for bicycles. Breakfast takes place in the nearby café, and here too, nothing is left to be desired. This hotel is absolutely recommended!!!!

Booked a room in the hotel long in advance, we got a room in the guesthouse, less service, worse rooms, same price. There were also a few defects: the upstairs light didn't work, the toilet lid was loose, and the mattress had seen better days. The second star goes to the very friendly staff.

A great hotel, even out of season. It was somewhat hidden in the second row to the pedestrian zone, so it was very quiet. We and another cyclist couple were the only guests on the Weser cycle path. The room was huge, more like a dance hall with a small seating area and desk. Breakfast does not take place in the hotel itself, but rather diagonally opposite in the pedestrian zone in a small café/restaurant. We didn't think that was a big deal; It had been raining, but we had our rain gear with us anyway.
