On a business trip I stayed at the Harz Hotel for 1 night. Despite my late arrival, check-in was problem-free thanks to the key safe and perfect information from the hotel. Super! The hotel has a charm of a bygone era. I would say somewhere around 70/80 years old. But that's what makes it interesting and I found it appealing. I have to say that everything is clean and well maintained. My room, one of the cheapest at €70 per night, including breakfast, was simply furnished. Not hip furniture, but very rustic. It was clean, the bathroom is new with a large walk-in shower and the bed slept well. The breakfast is simple but generally has something for everyone. Please keep in mind that it is not a 4 star hotel. There are various types of sausage and cheese as well as scrambled eggs with bacon. The rolls are classic and fresh fruit and vegetables are also served. I think it's very good that fully automatic coffee machines are available for use.The staff (reception/housekeeping) was very friendly. All in all, considering the price/performance ratio, recommended. I would stay here again.

A very nice hotel, but the best thing was the staff, be it the nice ones at the reception or the cleaning staff. The staff in the dining area was super nice, I would like to thank Svetlana again.

Simple hotel with 70's charm. No catering, the reception closes at 8 p.m. The breakfast is clear. The cleaning of the rooms needs improvement due to the old carpet in the corners. The few staff that are available are nice and helpful. Sufficient for a short stay.

Great accommodation! The staff is consistently very nice, helpful and always approachable. The rooms are modern and very clean. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. Lunch is also very tasty. We are happy to accommodate any special requests or incompatibilities. We were there as part of a business meeting. We were also well looked after in this regard. We'd love to come back!😊

Nice hotel located right next to the retirement home. Well, actually the retirement home is on the right of the building and the hotel on the left. The rooms were ok, although the room service wasn't good. The reception was not staffed even during normal times, breakfast consisted of baked rolls, coffee, juice, some sausage and cheese. All in all, it was sufficient, but somehow unloving. The staff who served breakfast were extremely helpful. The TVs in the single rooms are very small. My tablet will soon be bigger. The single beds are small and with a body length of 183cm I hit either the top or the bottom. The bathroom was ok and initially clean. I would like to come back for work because, despite some of the peculiarities, I felt comfortable. Personally, I would only stay in larger rooms here. Worth mentioning is a table football and billiards on the first floor, which you could use for free. There is food down in town. Many things can be reached quickly on foot or by car.
