Very nice hotel. The restaurant and therefore also the breakfast room are very nice. My room on the ground floor was very loud. For breakfast there are small baked goods, hard eggs and a radio ;)

The location is in the middle of the old town, which is nice. Things get exciting with a car.The rooms were “ok”. A super modern room and the rest of the rooms are really not modern and up to current standards.

Old historical half-timbered structure in the middle of Braunschweig. Each room has its own character. Very pretty... And there's a great little restaurant...

Parking: We knew beforehand that there was no parking available, so we used the Magni underground car park. You can walk to the hotel in less than 5 minutes.Check-in: friendly, quick, with all important informationRoom/bathroom: We had room 302, which is not very large. There is no closet. Blacking out the windows was a little problematic. The internal blinds are a good thing, but not practical when it's windy and the window is open. They are also white. Even at the end of May it was quite warm in the room, especially at night. The thick bedding was too much for us. Good thing the insides could be shaken down. The best thing was the very firm mattress. We were able to move around easily in the bathroom. The vanity is large, so we could easily fit all of our utensils. Unfortunately there is only one shower curtain. It was therefore unavoidable that a lot of water escaped onto the floor when showering.Cleanliness: At first glance everything seemed very clean. Upon closer inspection, there were several areas that were not cleaned of dust on a daily basis.Room cleaning: After the first night we skipped it. After the second night we wanted to know if everything was going to be sorted out. Unfortunately not much had happened. The beds were only turned back, but not completely made. The shower faucet had not been cleaned and the water splashes from the morning were still there.Breakfast: We booked with breakfast. The buffet was offered daily in a beautifully designed room. Some pre-packaged portions were offered. Otherwise the selection was sufficient for our taste...except...that I missed bread. I don't really like bread rolls. The coffee on Sunday was super thin and probably came from a filter machine. The coffee on the following days was better and was prepared using a coffee machine.Other: It can be quite noisy at night, especially in the warm season when many people visit the surrounding bars and sit outside. We were lucky with our room as it was a bit out of the way.The staff was always friendly.Checkout: I quickly had the bill in my hands. Conclusion: It wasn't a bad stay, but there is room for improvement.
