The hotel is undoubtedly something special, but you shouldn't expect a sober, modern design. Instead, the entire concept is focused on the history of the city. Breakfast is served in rustic earthenware dishes, and even unusual details such as rat egg warmers fit into the historic ambience. The building is narrow and winding, which is not surprising given its age. You can hear the typical sounds of an old house, but that's part of the charm. Particularly noteworthy is the staff's exceptional friendliness and willingness to help - nothing left to be desired here.

We stayed in Hameln for two nights to explore this beautiful city and its history. We booked the room a month in advance. The pictures on the in-house website absolutely thrilled me and my husband. A parking space was also booked. And we would also recommend it, because parking spaces are rare in the old town. We were greeted very friendly at reception. We stayed in room number 14. There is currently a construction site in front of the entrance to the hotel and it was right under our window. But it didn't bother us. The room was clean and rustically furnished. The bathroom, however, surprised us negatively. First we noticed the dirty toothbrush glasses in the bathroom. However, these were replaced immediately after we complained. The shower was absolutely moldy and dingy. The step in the bathroom was also completely dusty and very dirty. However, we really noticed this late in the evening when we returned from our exploration tour of Hamelin. We thought for a long time about whether we should complain about all of this straight away, but decided against it. We were able to overlook this for our time in the hotel. The breakfast was really great. So beautifully prepared and with great attention to detail. However, we had to smile a little when a lady asked for another slice of bread at breakfast and the breakfast fairy simply reached into the bread basket at the next table and handed the lady the slice of bread. The bowls with the Nutella (it was served in a clay bowl and you could have easily spread this amount on 5 rolls) are certainly not thrown away every time after use. However, the selection is great. There were rolls, bread, two types of jam, cheese, sausage, cream cheese, syrup, honey, lard, butter, fruit salad (canned), muesli, fresh pineapple, fresh seasonal fruit, vegetables, yogurt, quark, coffee, tea , juice, water and so on.We liked it despite the problems in the bathroom. The location is great, breakfast is great, friendliness is great, rooms are fine. Very good price-performance. And when we checked out, we pointed out the bathroom again and were told that renovations were coming soon. You are aware of the circumstances. And one more thing should be said: it is a privately run hotel and we fully understand that sufficient financial resources must be available for such a bathroom renovation. It is therefore important that many guests continue to stay overnight there. We will definitely stay there again. The next planned stay in Hameln is expected to take place in 2025.

We stayed for a short break in this really quaint hotel in the middle of the old town of Hamelin. We were personally greeted in a very friendly manner by the hotel owner. The whole hotel and also the rooms are very rustic and comfortably decorated with many details from old times. The medieval style breakfast exceeded our expectations. We felt very comfortable there and can recommend this small, extraordinary hotel. However, you definitely have to book a parking space when booking, as there are hardly any options for parking in the old town.

It was a very nice hotel with comfortable and clean rooms. It is centrally located and you can reach many restaurants on foot. The breakfast table was homely set and there was a cheese sausage platter at the table with eggs, fruit and muesli that was prepared for self-service and, upon request, there was also delicious tea and coffee. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and provided free tourist information provided. The hotel is in the quiet of the rat catcher

Even the arrival was great. We stood in front of the hotel with our bikes and before we even entered the hotel to check in, the extremely nice operator came out to us, greeted us warmly and showed us the bike shelter. We were also thrilled with the hotel. It's clean, the rooms are large with comfortable beds, and everything from the ground floor to the attic is furnished with loving details (e.g. one bed was designed like a mousetrap and the closet was shaped like a piece of cheese). The next morning we had a great breakfast in the breakfast room, which was also beautifully decorated. We didn't miss anything. Thank you!

Lovely, charming place with friendly people. They moved the breakfast, which was very good, to earlier for our convenience. Beds were very comfortable. Recommend it.
