The rooms are tiny, not even two people can fit between the very wobbly bunk beds. There is also no WiFi in the rooms, although there is a reasonably stable connection in the entrance area. There were also unidentifiable animals crawling around in the room. The food is: -disgusting-cold-partly indefinable-unseasonedThere was usually no dessert, and the rolls that were served for breakfast and dinner tasted like they were from three days ago. From the outside the hostel looks beautiful and welcoming, but from the inside it looks like a hospital. The hostel is beautifully located, but also very far outside (1.7km to the nearest supermarket), good for hiking. If you want to see something of the city, you first have to walk back down the entire Rammelsberg.

The youth hostel is located in a quiet environment, close to the cultural heritage of Rammelsberg and the sights of the city of Goslar. The classification with standard is correct. Our accommodation in a twin room met our requirements. Some measures would be necessary to adapt the youth hostel to the current times. The employees were all friendly throughout. The food was varied. Games and table tennis tables are available for evening activities.Highly recommended as a starting point for hikes.

The room is infested with silverfish and unfortunately very small, so there isn't even enough space for the suitcases. The walls are also very thin so that every conversation can be heard. There are only 3 showers for almost 30 people, but they are very clean and new. I also liked the staff, who had a lot of patience. Overall, it is in a nice area but very deserted and not centrally located. Hence this rating

“Rustic” youth hostel located outside Goslar...Nice to look at from the outside, but it's right on a street. First the positive... the food is pretty good for a youth hostel. Now to the negative, which unfortunately predominates....first impression of the room: Stuffy and with foil in front of the window due to construction work....so ventilation is almost impossible.....when making the bed I found paper from various snacks under the Mattresses and under the bed on the floor... Room very unclean, lots of cobwebs and small long-legged spiders in the corners... the floor hasn't been swept or anything else for months... bathroom as well... drain There is a smell in the shower, the window is still made of wood, which is starting to rot, the rooms should be swept after the evacuation...if everyone leaves the youth hostel at the same time, there are only 3 brooms on the upper floor and one dustpan for the entire room!!! !.....Cleanliness is unfortunately not a top priority here, at least not when it comes to the rooms.....on the whole I wouldn't recommend this youth hostel....

Youth hostel in the middle of the forest 15 km outside of Goslar in a very quiet location, ideal starting point for hikes and excursions on the northern edge of the Harz. Unfortunately, there is no lighting on the beds in the room so that you can read late in the evening, but the house is also designed for school classes
