We were in Hahnenklee for a weekend and we felt comfortable in the log cabin right from the start.It offers enough space and the kitchen is equipped with everything. A special highlight was our own sauna in the house.In the morning we were able to watch the sunrise over the Bocksberg from the balcony.

We stayed in the romantic hut for 5 nights in mid-May. The furnishings met our taste and we found everything we needed. The key handover on site was uncomplicated and any questions were answered.Unfortunately, we discovered shortly afterwards that during the previous basic/final cleaning, which you also paid for yourself at €150, the previous tenant's countless dog hairs had not been removed. I.e. on the fabric curtains and on the couch in the basement and upstairs in the bedrooms. The reason I'm writing this is because, despite subsequent cleaning, it was only moderately better afterwards. Only what was mentioned was tried to be cleaned. (In the evening we closed the other curtains and brought our bags upstairs and the dog hair started flying. If obvious defects are pointed out, a general inspection should be done again!)The landlord, who was there shortly after I called, kindly left us a lint roller, which I still had to use on the sofa and on our clothes in the following days. He apologized profusely, but I can't buy anything from it. Nevertheless, I would like to note that he was directly available and was on site with the agent and the cleaner in a very short time. Unfortunately, we didn't read in advance that dogs are allowed there. We love animals, but my husband has a severe allergy to animal hair. Therefore, this situation took away some of our wonderful holiday flair. I am aware of the difficulty with the lack of staff, but I find the excuse and the justification that good staff are hard to find a bit poor.Otherwise, the sauna is great and the pedestrian zone and the lake are within walking distance.

We had four lovely days in the Harz. The house is very nice and has enough space for 4 people. If you just sat in the house for several days, there would be little privacy. The equipment is very complete. Compared to holiday homes in DK, this one is very complete. All we were missing was a pasta strainer. The contact on site was very nice.

We had the chalet, it was even more beautiful than we expected. We felt very comfortable and so did our dachshund. Directly opposite was the forest. It was a very relaxing week for everyone. The landlord was very friendly and we ate well in his restaurant. Gladly again!

A very nice log cabin with very good facilities in a quiet location and yet centrally located. Were there for the second time, this time in winter. Beautiful hikes in the area with lots of snow. In the evening we ended the day comfortably in the sauna and in front of the fireplace. An unusual house to switch off from everyday life and recharge your batteries.

We had a lovely stay in the Romantik Hütte.The location is really nice - great view of the Bocksberg, within walking distance to the local bakery and various restaurants. Also hiking trails directly from the hut.Unfortunately, the sum of various little things results in a star deduction (the completed feedback form was sent directly to the landlord), but basically it was a really nice stay and therefore still a good 4*.Well-equipped kitchen, parking space directly at the house.

The house itself is great, looks very good and well made, the only problem is the service, it's just outrageous!!! We paid almost €700 for two nights there and had to get the bed linen ourselves! There were no bathrobes for the sauna! You had to pay extra for the towels and the hardest part is at the end when you handed over the keys you had to charge an extra €15 from the deposit for “chimney cleaning”. My only question is: are you still ticking correctly?? Never again and under no circumstances would I recommend it!

Best log cabin we have ever had. Were really surprised, everything was very clean and high quality. Nothing was missing. Bathroom with sauna, well-equipped kitchen, fireplace and a very nice seating area. The whole thing in great nature and a convenient location for many excursions and hikes. Just perfect. The service from booking to departure was excellent and courteous. There was even a nice welcome gift for the dog. We can definitely recommend Mr. Peemöller and his log cabins and will definitely come back.

Always happy!For the third time we went on vacation for a week in one of the beautiful log cabins with high-quality furnishings.Even if the weather isn't good, you can make yourself really comfortable thanks to the great sauna and fireplace.The location is also great. Both the path to the hiking trails and the town center can be reached on foot in just a few minutes.

We vacationed with our dog in the Romantik Loghütte. As a welcome there was a surprise for our dog and wine for us. A nice, cozy hut where you don't miss anything. We'd love to come back!

We just spent 8 nights as a couple with a dog (at an additional cost) in the Romantik-Hütte.Basically we weren't dissatisfied, but a few things blatantly bothered us.Unfortunately, the shower was quite unsightly and obviously infested with mold (see pictures). We reported this to the local administration immediately on the first morning after arrival. A cleaner was then in the hut (we were out of the house at the time, but that was agreed upon) and took care of it. However, a really better result could not be seen. In addition, the shower head could no longer be clamped properly into the fitting, so you should simply replace it at some point.The second unpleasant thing was that the toilet seat was very yellowish from below (see picture). This could easily be removed with oven spray, for example.In our opinion, this shouldn't happen - especially in this price segment.In addition, the green areas around the hut could at least be looked after a little more from time to time (especially in the warmer seasons), as it was very overgrown here. That wasn't necessarily important to us, but it still looks unkempt.On the other hand, the spacious sauna and the nice welcome gifts (bottle of wine and a package for the dog consisting of treats, toys and poop bags from Schecker) were positive. There was also a voucher for a Schierker/Schierkuja in the restaurant 1894, which is apparently run by the operator of the log cabin, also in Hahnenklee. We can definitely recommend this. Hahnenklee also has other good eating options. And everything is within easy walking distance.There are great hiking trails in the immediate vicinity, such as the Bocksberg, where you can get your money's worth with children.All in all, we were unfortunately not completely satisfied, because for the price you should expect a really clean cabin, as announced in advance in the rental conditions. Otherwise it is of course a beautiful hut with a cozy character.

Very nice cozy log cabin with sauna in a great location. You can reach the hiking trails as well as the town/center of Hahnenklee within walking distance. To shop you have to go to Clausthal-Zellerfeld or Goslar, but both can be easily reached within 10-20 minutes. There are 1 bakery and many different restaurants in town, something for everyone. Burgers, German, Italian, Chinese, Greek and even Indian cuisine is available on site. If you want, you can treat yourself to a different cuisine every day. The Bocksberg is also worth a hike. It won't be the last time for us in this log cabin. The on-site house service is also good.Have a nice holiday everyone in these great log cabins

As always, everything was as you would imagine from a perfect vacation! Usually always in autumn, this year we went on a summer holiday in the Harz Mountains. Our accommodation ("Panorama Hut") was great as always, the family (including the dog) felt comfortable from the first moment. We were warmly welcomed again in our favorite restaurant 1894' and treated to delicious food (and drinks).Conclusion: The host is absolutely recommended!

I've been there twice now so here are a few impressions of myself.If you want to hike, this is the right place, you can start right at the front door. The area is beautiful.The hut is in a very quiet location, especially at night it is very quiet. You can sleep really well there.The nearest supermarket is about 10km away... without a car you'll be lost there anyway.🤷The kitchen is well equipped and basically complete.There are plenty of attractions and restaurants in the area.I'll definitely go there again at some point.

We had a very nice long weekend in one of the log cabins with our 2 children and our dog. Great, quiet location on the outskirts of town with hiking trails right behind the front door. It was also great that we could store our bikes in the attached shed. The houses are modern, clean and the size is ideal for 4 people with or without a dog ;). Clear recommendation.

Great log house, you would like to live there forever. Everything was very clean and fully equipped. You just have to bring your food and your clothes. Nice environment for hiking.
