Great surroundings with meadows, forests and lake. The hostess is a good soul - super friendly and concerned about the guests. I particularly liked the “catfish on vegetables”, you could have eaten it twice, it was so delicious. Room opened to large balcony and garden. There are deductions for the aqua jogging, which on Sunday morning woke you up with a lot of noise in the neighboring outdoor pool. But: we would love to come back there!

Just spend a quiet vacation and relax. That's the appeal of this place. If you're looking for big action and the latest cultural offerings or if you only travel by public transport, you're probably in the wrong place here. Nevertheless, there are some nice details right on site: right next to the hotel there is an outdoor swimming pool that can be reached on foot.Sattelbogen is the ideal starting point for flights into the Bavarian Forest - provided you have your own car. After a few kilometers on the B20 you reach the nearby town of Cham. If you want to hike, then visit Neumarkt near Heilig Blut at the foot of the Hoher Bogen. From there you can choose whether you want to climb on foot, by mountain bike or by chair lift and enjoy the wonderful view of the Bavarian Forest from above. Another suggestion: cycle with an e-bike from Bayerisch-Eisenstein to Regensburg, always along the signposted Regental cycle path. There are countless other suggestions for children and adults: Churpfalz Park, the dragon engraving in Furth im Wald (by the way, the high-tech dragon is also a highlight outside of the festival season and can be viewed in its own dragon museum), the two glass Manufactories Joska and Weinfurtner, the area of the large and small Arber with Arbersee, WaldWipfelWeg and Baumwipfelpfad, information stands and animal enclosures of the Bavarian Forest National Park, the Blaibach reservoir with lawn and swimming opportunity, or a canoe trip on the rain, or a visit in Waldmünchen at the folk game “Trenck the Pandur”. The area offers a lot.If you book a room, don't ask for a sea view or a mountain view - at Sattelbogener Hof you always have a relaxing view of the countryside, no matter which window you look at.We have been traveling to this hotel for decades and want to continue to do so. Last stay in July 2024.

We only stayed in this hotel for one night and were very satisfied.The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet, like the other dishes, was very attractively arranged and delicious.

Highly recommended. Super nice hosts with passion and dedication for their guests. It's nice that something like this still exists. The grill buffet was delicious and the host's parents in particular are very special people. Thank you for allowing us to have such a lovely time.

Great hotel with very nice staff. We were traveling by motorbike and stopped there. The motorcycles were in a locked garage. Guided tours are also offered.The dinner and breakfast were impeccable.

This week I was a day guest at Sattelbogener Hof for a seminar. There are plenty of parking spaces in front of the hotel. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the rooms as I didn't stay overnight. Food in the hotel is good. There are many sporting activities (spinning, rehabilitation sports courses, gym)

Am here for one night. As everyone has already written, the hotel and the rooms are partly from the 80s. But I love all the wood on the ceilings and walls. Yes, in the restaurant the curtains and curtains, which are in the same pattern as the chair upholstery, should simply be removed. Nobody needs curtains in a restaurant. With just a few simple steps you could turn the restaurant (including the breakfast room) into a real cozy space. So if I lived here I wouldn't be able to eat comfortably in this room.The room was very large with a balcony, yes with carpet, but everything was very clean.I would have liked a towel holder in the separate toilet, it doesn't cost much at the hardware store. Please don't put toilet rolls on the shelf under the mirror in the toilet, it looks like you're in a youth hostelThe phone in the room is working again :))Service and food great!!!I can't rate breakfast because it only starts at 7:30 a.m., I had to leave earlier for work.Overall everything is okay
