Great starting point for a trip to the Bavarian Forest. Value for money is fantastic, the rooms were large, nice, clean and warm. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and warm-hearted, we were truly welcomed with open arms, the children were looked after and even pampered a little at every encounter. We ate there and everything was delicious, fresh and inexpensive. The breakfast was also good and we would love to come back.

We had booked 2 nights and got a 3-bed room, as we had requested. Clean and large, completely sufficient. The breakfast was a buffet, very sufficient and coffee was served later, and we were also given warm milk upon request. A good start to the day. We all enjoyed dinner very much, and I especially liked the grilled plate. Meat was well seasoned and very juicy. Service and service very nice.

We went there for dinner for the first time yesterday. My husband had a grill plate that also tasted good. I had a cream roast veal with bread dumplings. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my meal. The bread dumpling didn't taste like anything, the meat was good, but very thinly sliced for the price and the sauce, well. Unfortunately there wasn't a hint of cream. The sauce didn't go well with the dish at all. I'm almost certain it wasn't homemade. Too bad.However, the service was very nice and friendly

A very beautifully located country inn (in the middle of Mitterfels near the castle). The building consists of several parts, which makes it a bit confusing to find your room inside. Since part of the building is def. It is very old and there is a slightly musty smell that accompanies you through the building. But this one wasn't that strong. I've had to endure far worse smells in newer hotels. In the room on the second floor, nothing was noticeable there. The room was pleasantly large and had what could be considered modern furnishings. What was great was that the bed was super comfortable, I've only slept so well once in a hotel bed. The bathroom was surprisingly large, a bit old-fashioned, but extremely clean - as was the rest of the room! What bothered us a bit was the lack of storage space (only one under the mirror). Another negative thing I noticed was that the water pressure in the pipe should be higher in the shower, which is why I didn't wash my hair in the rather narrow shower. There was also a wheel for hot and cold water at the sink and in the shower. But these are small things. What we really liked was the friendly manner and the top service, and of course we also have to praise the good cuisine, which we also enjoyed twice for breakfast. The breakfast was more than sufficient and actually had something for everyone. We got coffee in a thermos and our normal milk was also brought to us warm. We only looked at the sauna and the fitness room, but since we already had a lot planned for the 3 days, we unfortunately didn't get to try them outThe price for the room with breakfast was reasonable and we will remember the country inn for another visit.

The three of us stayed here for one night during our motorcycle vacation and were extremely satisfied! There is a parking space in the backyard and also a parking bay right in front of the entrance. The staff was absolutely friendly and authentic. The rooms were sufficiently large and very well maintained. The inn offers excellent food and a reasonable selection of food and drinks. We can fully recommend this accommodation!
