A nice hotel with really excellent food, everything was cooked to perfection and super tasty. The service in the restaurant and bar 10/10. Things couldn't have been done better in this area. The wellness area also made a good impression.Signs for the temperatures of the saunas or a cold water pot outside would have been nice. The interior handle of the steam sauna should be looked at by the hotel.You also have to know that, for example, next to the pool vs. of the outdoor pool, the shower at the outdoor pool and the hot water pot in the nudist area there are small buttons with which you can activate the bubbles.For the rooms, I would not choose the standard category if there is a category higher available/or I would set the travel days to available, at least the next higher “comfort double room”. Our standard room had a mostly view over a concrete terrace and was old compared to the higher category (€258 vs. €278).1-2 stars deduction for the reception:The two of us stayed at the hotel for two nights for my boyfriend's 30th birthday and we had booked the last available room, a standard room. After the first night I checked to see if there was another room available for our second night and sure enough, there were two online in the next higher category for the period of our second night. We quickly decided to ask the reception whether we could change/upgrade our room. The lady seemed pretty stressed and said straight away that we couldn't upgrade ourselves. After a bit of back and forth, she booked us into the comfort room that was still available. We should pack our suitcases and be taken to the new room, but she couldn't tell us when it would be ready.We packed and strolled through the city after breakfast. When we came back around 12:00 p.m. we asked if we could go to the new room. The lady then brusquely said she didn't know, we would have to wait until 3 p.m. until it was ready. No problem, we would just get our bathing suits and spend the time in the wellness area until then. She then replied that the suitcases were currently being transferred from the previous room to the new room, that we wouldn't be able to get to the suitcases until 3 and that it was our own fault if we changed rooms. I thought that was very bold and said I would see for myself where the suitcases were.We checked the old room, the key card still worked. Everything has been reupholstered and no more suitcases. A short walk to the new room number, where we asked a nice lady from housekeeping if she had happened to see our suitcases. She did and gave us the room number of our new room. The room is already ready.We went back down to the reception and said that the new room was already ready and that all that was left was to reprint the room cards. She then replied that she still had a lot of checkouts and it might take, she couldn't tell us how long (we were the only ones at reception at the time). About 15 minutes later we got the new cards.This handling is more than in need of improvement. We also had to request the spa cards separately from reception on the second day; they were not automatically given to us when we checked in. When we left, we were overcharged for tourist tax twice due to the room change, but we easily got it back in cash.

Beautiful wellness hotel in great surroundingsRooms are very nice and cleanNo matter which staff, from room service to reception and right up front, the waitresses are always friendly and quick.Children and dogs are welcome and it showsFood is very tasty and variedThe wellness area is also recommended as a day spaFrom hiking trails to shopping in the Glasdorf or joska... everything can be reached very quickly.Definitely highly recommended ☀️👌

Something should be done here. The dinner is okay, but there is no passion for the products here, so it's just mediocre.All around a reasonable hotel. Price performance still ok.

We were there for 3 days for wellness. Overall we liked it. The wellness area is really great and invites you to relax. We particularly liked the area on the roof terrace. The relaxation rooms inside could perhaps use a little more coziness with the finishing touches of decoration or relaxing music. The rooms and wellness area were extremely clean at all times.We had a 3/4 board and got a free upgrade and therefore had a room in the more expensive category, which was beautiful, modern and spacious. Thank you for the upgrade.The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. Everything was fresh and there was an extremely great selection, including for vegetarians.The afternoon snack was always impressive with lots of different salads that were really delicious. There were also various types of cakes, a cheese plate, baguettes, a warm dish and a soup.At dinner there was again a delicious salad buffet and a choice of soup. The desserts were delicious and varied every evening and beautifully presented. The main courses for vegetarians (you could always choose between 4, 1 fish, 2 meat dishes and 1 vegetarian dish) could do with a bit more ingenuity and variety. Vegetarians already eat more than just vegetables. ; ). During the 3 days there was lentil curry with rice, vegetable strudel with vegetables and vegetable stew. Whether this is a 4-star meal is debatable.Unfortunately, the soups on 2 out of 3 days were not suitable for vegetarians. On the first day, the staff unfortunately didn't understand the hint when they asked whether it was vegetable or beef broth. But on the second day I asked if there was the possibility of bringing me a vegetarian broth instead of beef or chicken broth. I then received a very tasty vegetable broth with vegetables and the next day, upon further request, a delicious tomato soup.The hotel is in a great location and you can go on many hikes directly from there and you also get a guest card for the bus. E-bikes were also available to rent (4 hours for €18, 1 day for €28)

Service. We have consistently experienced very friendly colleagues. So you can be very proud of your colleagues, who are all doing a great job, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. We experienced a few guests who found fault with everything and everyone. But you can't help these people and you shouldn't take them seriously!Rooms: The rooms and bathroom are very spacious and absolutely clean. We also had a great view over Bodenmais. Despite the high temperatures, the temperature in the rooms was always good, even if there was no air conditioning. The beds were very comfortable and it was absolutely quiet. So pure relaxation!Garage: The garage is super spacious and we were even able to load and unload our small motorcycle trailer in the garage and no one was hindered because there was still enough space to get past us.Wellness: We tried out the two swimming pools and the whirlpool pool. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for the sauna due to our supporting program. But here too, everything was great and very clean.¾ Board: The real highlight was the food. Starting with the very rich and varied breakfast buffet. No wish remains unfulfilled. In the afternoon you have the opportunity to eat soup, small snacks such as chicken skewers, salad and cake. We hadn't expected such a rich afternoon meal and then always a 3-course menu or a buffet in the evening. Everything was super tasty and we can't understand how anyone could find fault with it. But as already mentioned, there are unfortunately people who always have something to complain about. So your chefs and the entire kitchen staff also do a top job!All in all, a great stay in a great hotel, which also fits in very well with the area of the Bavarian Forest thanks to its rustic interior design.

I treated myself to a wellness weekend. Hotel with a view from the balcony of a beautiful landscape, the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast absolutely brilliant, lunch snack good selection and dinner buffet or menu with main course to choose from perfect. The entire spa area was very nice. It was a perfect match. I would love to come back

An absolutely beautiful hotel, right on the market square. Unfortunately, the church bell next door is a bit disturbing. We then took a room with a surcharge on the south side with a wonderful view. The service in the restaurant was top. Very attentive. The wellness area deserves more than 5 stars. The only negative point was the reception. For a 4 star hotel you expect appropriate clothing (as in the restaurant) and friendly, trained staff. It wasn't a friendly welcome, rather hectic. Unfortunately the lady was a bit overwhelmed. Guest card was only handed out the next day upon request. We know this even from 3*** hotels. No explanation where what is. ☹️ But that shouldn't be a reason not to visit the beautiful hotel again. Maybe the reception can be improved.

We were in the hotel restaurant twice and can only report positive things.Super nice and very professional service staff who are very careful and proactively approach the guests.Furthermore, the food is very tasty!The summer terrace also offers a fantastic view of the town.Thank you again for allowing us to watch the European Football Championship as non-hotel guests.
