As is often the case, I ate the standard but from this you can quickly determine what the quality is like.Based on your description, the roast pork seems rather average. Here is a detailed review:1. Sauce: Thin sauce is often a sign that it lacks flavor and consistency. A richer, more flavorful sauce would be better.2. Dumplings: Tasteless dumplings are a definite disadvantage as they should normally carry flavor when combined with the sauce and meat. Maybe it lacks spices or a better consistency.3. Meat: “Standard” suggests that the meat was okay, but nothing special – probably not particularly tender or flavorful.4. Coleslaw: One bright spot is that the coleslaw was good. A fresh, well-dressed salad can save a lot.Overall, the dish unfortunately doesn't seem to have been particularly outstanding. The sauce and dumplings in particular could be improved.

Had lunch with two friends today. 2 times lunch menu and 2 times 1/4 duck. Everything tasted really good, the landlord served us personally. It was completely consistent. Will be eating there again soon. Lisa Barz Behrendt

Compared to the beginning, it has improved a lot. Ate duck today and I have to say: very good. Also the red cabbage and the dumplings, thumbs up. Please keep it up.

Unfortunately, the staff was very unfriendly when asked where and whether there was a water bowl for the dog. I found it empty. I was really looking forward to the food but unfortunately I was very disappointed! The cheese spaetzle actually had no cheese. It looked as if spaetzle had been put on a plate and then a slice of cheese had been placed on top and briefly melted in the microwave...90% of them were cooked spaetzle without cheese on the plate.Very unfortunate!

Went to the Gasthof zur Post for the first time and had dinner there. We were greeted by a very friendly staff. The meals were very tasty. We felt very comfortable in the restaurant.

You'll be happy to go there again!Even if I didn't pre-order (Saturday), you get space for four people with a dog. Nothing is a problem during the week. Lunch menu for €7.9o isn't bad either. The beer garden is always well attended and the prices here are moderate.You'll be happy to go there again!August 2024, after almost two years of renovation and with a new tenant (Fränkische Küche), we were here in the beer garden. 😉 The service is quick and friendly, the menu is clear and the prices are moderate. I had the Schäufele with dumplings and sauerkraut, great, the meat falls off the bone, the cabbage was tasty and the dumplings were, in my opinion, ready-made dough. The Reherl with bread dumplings, plenty of sauce from the roux. In my opinion, it would have needed a little more liquid 🤔. The food I saw on the neighboring tables was plentiful and probably delicious too 😋.All in all, it was a nice late afternoon and we would love to come back 👍 🤗 🚒I invited 9 people to a birthday dinner 😋 these days and my guests all responded very positively to my survey. My two grandchildren were also very impressed with the robot cat 🤩. All in all it was a successful mix of food and drink, I would especially like to thank you for the wine present 🙏🤗🚒We'll be back 👍

Hello, very great restaurant, but there is not a single vegetarian food. I would be very happy if the burger was also available with a vegetarian patty.Please put the tagliatelle with chanterelles on the standard menu. Thanks for the good service

We ate here again today for the first time since it reopened. Unfortunately we have to say that overall we didn't like it anymore. A service worker was alone. There were few guests there, but everything took too long. The food was not good, cold, the price-performance ratio was no longer good. Tables full of stains and some not cleared. Somehow it used to be more comfortable. Not again.

We went for dinner last week. Explanation of the difference between the different types of meat: beef to beef fillet. Explains how they make the chanterelles.Added fries. Price absolutely justified. The best steak (beef fillet) in years. Chanterelles can hardly be fresher.I would definitely have paid more in any steakhouse.My wife had homemade hash browns (absolutely great) and salmon that grew very well. Portion was about small, 1 Rösti could have been more.We'll definitely be backStaff very attentive. Always comes back and asks if everything is okay.

I loved the beer garden and was excited for it to be open again. The first visit with friends wasn't smooth, ok, initial difficulties. New attempt today alone. Estimate 40% guests. Waited 10 minutes for drinks, still ok. Food orders rösti with salmon and salad so hardly anything to cook. After 40 minutes there was still nothing at the table. Ok, I say I'm going, it's taking too long for me. Paid for a drink I thought ok let's leave it, something went wrong. But no. Regardless, my last visit to the beer garden “Zur Post” was either Gittis Waldwirtachaft or Gut Keferloh.

Our reservation was received very friendly.We like the modern, yet "warm" atmosphere - luckily far away from kitsch.Very good, attentive service. All of the dishes (there were five of us) were served in good quality.What bothers me, however, is the "duality" - this may be due to the unfortunate spirit of the times, but it still doesn't bring any advantages.All in all - a good economy that is definitely worth a visit.
