Very well run hotel. The grounds are very nice and tidy with plenty of parking spaces too. The whole hotel is very neat and clean. The breakfast buffet was really tasty and very varied.

A hotel in the quiet of the forest. Perfect conditions for a business trip. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. The room door locks with a traditional key, not a floppy disk, which is a plus in my opinion. Breakfast ok, minus the lack of cake for coffee. Coffee, bacon, scrambled eggs are very good. Sufficient selection of cheeses, cold meats and bread. Double room with single beds, shower in the bathroom. Sufficient places to park your car.

At the end of the day, after 270 kilometers on the motorcycle, we arrived safely here. The receptionist was friendly, but nothing more. Since we are staying in one of the outhouses, there is no WiFi there. The router in the hallway is malfunctioning and no one knew how to fix it. When asked, the receptionist said that a cable appeared to have been destroyed during construction work. It's a shame that no one will take care of this in a timely manner. The WiFi in the main house works. The rooms are extremely simple but functionally furnished. Even though we chose the cheapest option in the adjacent building, it would still be nice not to get wet feet when using the toilet after showering, the outside of the sink would also be clean and the connecting pipe from the water tank to the basin would be clean and not rotten on the outside. The shower and the shower wall needed to be replaced. The dinner was very tasty despite the reduced menu, the Weizenradler was mixed without any problems and the service was very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to breakfast. The breakfast is plentiful, tasty and, in my opinion, leaves nothing to be desired.

Simple accommodation without a feel-good factorWe had a small family celebration and spent one night here and it just wasn't what we expected or hoped for. I'll leave out the problems of booking where a non-existent family room was reserved and start with the basics:Check in from 4pm is extremely late. Check-out is no later than 10 a.m. But on weekends and public holidays you can have breakfast until 10:30 a.m. Huh? Whoever thought this up certainly didn't have the guests' well-being in mind. So, as a former guest, you sit at the breakfast table with your suitcases, or what?The service in the restaurant wasn't exactly unfriendly, but didn't do more than necessary with a constantly annoyed look. He just stands behind you, doesn't say anything and you have to realize that he's waiting for your order.We then had to wait almost an hour for food from the reduced menu, which no one mentioned in advance. No matter, there's something to eat! Nothing to do with feeling good again.As a reward, we weren't allowed to have dessert because the kitchen closed at 9 p.m. Wasn't there something about waiting!?Afterwards we had a beer on the terrace and simply turned off the lights and took the cushions off the chairs. Just don't let yourself get the idea that you should at least feel comfortable here.But the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. That's a good thing, because there's no such thing as staying up late with free Wi-Fi to surf. Good thing they're at least thinking about my sleep.I would say that if you have an alternative, you should avoid this hotel. You can definitely feel a bit of well-being somewhere in this beautiful area.

We were here in the restaurant because the Alte Klosterschänke is currently being renovated.The staff was friendly and the fish tasted great. However, the vegetarian dish was only mediocre, the oven feta didn't look baked, and the pan-fried vegetables were more like frozen vegetables and not fried.By the way, there is an elevator, which is helpful if you need it, but the information about it was missing.No cash payment possible, only by card.

The surrounding area is fantastic, very well developed and the infrastructure is ideal for exploring by bike. The hotel is beautifully centrally located. The staff is super friendly and very flexible. Our room was simply but functionally furnished. Unfortunately no fridge.

The rooms were very clean and had great views over the forest. If the weather had been a little better you might even have seen the monastery and the lake.The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious and varied.Unfortunately the staff wasn't always friendly. Some employees were extremely rude, you didn't really feel welcome right after you checked in until you checked out the next day, which spoiled the overall impression.Overall I would recommend the hotel for the cleanliness, the view and the food. However, if the staff were friendlier, the stay could be even more pleasant.

Nice hotel for a short break/short trip. The lake can be reached on foot in five minutes. A short 10-minute walk along the lake takes you to Chorin Monastery.The rooms are very clean and spacious. The beds comfortable.The staff is super friendly and not above having a chat.You can have dinner directly in the hotel for moderate prices. There is regional beer from a small brewery!Of course, if the weather permits, you can also sit outside.The breakfast offers everything your heart desires. Also possible outside here.The house is also barrier-free thanks to an elevator.There are enough free parking spaces.We would book again.

Basically a great hotel with nice staff. But something is wrong behind the scenes and it shows.We were a group and had several rooms. Upon arrival we were informed that our rooms had been canceled because no reservation had been confirmed. At first we believed this. So there were no rooms for us at first. This is initially a setback after a six-hour journey. Then we were told that they still had rooms in a neighboring building. These were rather mediocre. There was a smell of old smoke in the hallway and some of the bathrooms had black mold. The wifi didn't work either.Since we were in the area for work and our customer had to get the rooms, we spoke to him about the missed booking the following day. He showed us a booking confirmation and a cost reimbursement. These were probably simply ignored in the hotel and the original rooms were canceled. Annoying! The staff at the bar and at breakfast were extremely nice and tried very hard. Unfortunately, cash is not accepted. The breakfast is really great! There is a large selection and everything is very tasty. We were particularly pleased with the selection of vegetarian cold cuts. The coffee from the fully automatic machine is okay, but tastes a bit musty. There is also a little too much coming out of the machine, which regularly causes spills. No drama... just needs to be adjusted correctly again. The selection of drinks and especially the freshly tapped beers are another highlight! Simply great, very tasty and fresh. Served by a very nice lady.On the day we left, the fire alarm suddenly went off in the morning. We stormed out of the rooms. After a while it went off again. No sign of the staff. Nobody came to see what the problem could be, nor did anyone ask if everything was okay. That was very strange. Since we had left the house partly in our sleeping clothes, we decided to just go back to our rooms and then have breakfast. From here on out, all was right with the world again.All in all, it feels like the staff is trying hard, the concept is a good idea but something in the background isn't going well.Nevertheless, the house can certainly be recommended for short trips.

...as a tip, if you are traveling with children (24), you should politely inform them that the children's playground is a construction site.In my opinion, check-in from 4 p.m. 🕓 is not inviting in such a sparsely booked hotel.There are some adjustment screws that can still be optimized. Good luck!I would like to stop again because of the picturesque surroundings.

We spent the weekend in Chroin. The hotel is very clean and the location by the lake is nice. Unfortunately, we criticize the price-performance ratio of the evening buffet. The choice of two main courses and a drink were not appropriate for €26.
