Be careful, the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired and the room was shabby and extremely stuffy when you entered. Definitely not again under these conditions. There is a kitchen but no utensils. Then it's better to choose another hotel, but not this one, if nothing will improve positively here.

The Turkish employee couldn't cancel because she didn't know whether she was allowed to or not. Her very poor knowledge of German made it difficult to cooperate and we were also yelled atAnother colleague at shift change was able to solve all the problemsThis employee is very unprofessional and didn't know who her boss or manager was, outrageous!!!

Rooms are OK. Here and there some defects in the rooms. But it's ok to stay overnight for a few days. Unfortunately, no seating or a lounge for sitting together in the evening, but an old reception or old remaining furniture in the entrance area. 3 self-service machines in the entrance area. But the reception staff needs training very urgently.Ignorant, unable to properly serve guests during check-in and checkout.Almost all of the guests who came with me were booked under different names, which caused chaos and overwhelmed the staff. 2 ladies at reception one worse than the other.I work in the hotel industry myself and if my boss saw something like that, the staff would have been replaced very quickly. The first 10 seconds decide whether a guest feels comfortable. When I book a vacation/hotel room, as a guest I want to forget about my daily madness and not continue with it.Great location, large shopping center right opposite where you can have a great breakfast. (In the hotel restaurant for 25 euros per person, simply too expensive for the price-performance ratio)S,U,Bahn can be reached on foot in about 5 minutes.Every few minutes there is a line that takes you to all parts of Berlin. But I'm definitely not coming back, unfortunately I saw too late that there was a really better hotel complex two streets away with really better facilities. Therefore only 1 star for the hotel complex.Ps the housekeeping team should be rated positively. Please send all other staff to training for hotel staff as soon as possible.

The room was great, no problems. Everything clean. The location is also great. Parking is also available.I can't say much about breakfast. I reserved breakfast online in advance with the note that I have gluten intolerance. You could even choose a gluten-free breakfast, great! When I checked in I was told that I could pay for breakfast in the restaurant and that wouldn't be a problem. But what wasn't communicated... you can only pay with cash, otherwise you can pay with a card in the hotel. I don't think it's a bad thing, the information would have been good in advance. But breakfast didn't come... nothing gluten-free was bought. The ladies knew nothing. Alternatives such as omelette etc. could not be offered until after 10am. (I was traveling on business.. it was 7am). Unfortunately, parking didn't work so well either. Unfortunately my card wasn't accepted to get out, which can happen. But what I find stupid is that you were given the feeling that you were too stupid to call. I did that 3-4 times. Unfortunately no one was answering the phone and I had to back down the driveway. Conclusion: The hotel is good. But I would have liked a little more understanding.

The Analogues. The reason to go to Berlin. Of course Berlin has more to offer, but The Analogues were the primary reason. Because 'just' up and down is not really very 'even', it quickly became clear that we would be staying in a hotel. Since we are not (multi) millionaires, we also have to pay attention to the costs. After some searching we choose the Ocak Hotel. Reasonably centrally located, good rating in Google and Booking and an acceptable price. After an ICE journey and a lot of searching in the incomprehensibly complicated tram/S-Bahn/U-Bahn system (just some signs with arrows would provide the solution) we arrive. Of course we took the wrong exit at Gesundbrunnen station so we took a detour, but we finally got there. The room is not disappointing. There is a TV, but unfortunately without an HDMI connection, so you won't be able to watch something like Formula 1 qualifying via your laptop. Anyway, replacing all the TVs in an entire hotel because every now and then a guest wants to plug in his/her laptop is also quite pointless, so it is understandable. Our request (after the first night) for an extra pillow and towels is quickly fulfilled; In fact, when we get back to the room after asking the question at reception, the room attendant is just busy cleaning and they are already ready. Very good. The room has a well-functioning air conditioner. One of the reasons to choose this hotel. 'Disadvantage', but that cannot and should not be blamed on Ocak: in the week before our visit, Berlin suffered from temperatures of 30+ degrees. Just as we arrive it gets a lot better and about 10 to 15 degrees cooler. That excellent air conditioning? So we hardly had to use it.The Gesundbrunnen Center is within walking distance of the Ocak Hotel. A large indoor shopping center with all kinds of shops. Food, drinks, ice cream, jewelry, clothing, electronics... You name it and it is for sale. A good alternative if you decide not to book breakfast. This is possible and is served buffet style in the on-site restaurant. It is strange that when you get out of the elevator you could turn right into the restaurant, but that door is permanently closed to accommodate the buffet. To reach the restaurant you have to go outside and walk around.Once back inside it's fine. There is plenty for someone with an extensive taste. I, with a more limited palette, also found plenty to like and certainly tasty. It is also possible to have dinner here in the evening. However, that menu is limited and we did not try it, also because we were away quite a lot. So I cannot give a qualitative value judgement. The room also contains a small refrigerator. Although it was set to its (or is it) maximum, there was unfortunately no cooling effect. Unfortunately, I did not remember to report this when checking out, my shortcoming. The check-out itself was surprisingly quick. Hand in the cards, “Good day, see you soon,” and we could leave again. Less than 5 minutes, great! Is the Ocak Hotel in Berlin recommended? As far as I'm concerned, yes. Neat, clean, comfortable and a good bathroom.

The stay was pleasant, the rooms were very clean. Unfortunately I forgot my cosmetic bag in the hotel room. Reported the loss immediately. Nobody feels responsible. …

I'm stunned by the many positive reviews here. Yes, the hotel is relatively new, but in my opinion it's not worth 4, let alone 5 stars. The room is fine, apart from the terrible lighting concept and the very dim bathroom lighting, putting on makeup is almost impossible here. What do you do with a kitchenette without dishes or cutlery? There are only 2 glasses in the cupboard. The walls in the room are sometimes very stained, so you can't help but wonder how something like this can happen during normal use. Breakfast costs €24. Pretty outrageous to charge an extra €4 for a cappuccino. All in all a very sobering experience. There are certainly much better accommodation options in Berlin for €215 per night.

This hotel is nit worth it at all. We spend 3 days weekend for almost $700 the false advertised a suit with one king bed or 2 XL twin bed. The room was small that my fried had to stand up against the wall so i can walk pass her. So tiny, restroom was okay but got some mold. They limited everything in the room. The hotel is okay but not worth it $700 for 3 days. I would recommend this place

Checking in was pretty easy. We just hadn't seen that an overnight tax still had to be paid. The receptionist was very friendly, but also very quiet. Her blouse was a little open (buttoned) and you could see her bra, and her blouse had some make-up stains. She should pay a little more attention to ensure that this doesn't happen. The room was well furnished. A very large 2x2m bed with 4 pillows, a sofa bed which was also prepared. It was very clean. We had a small bathroom with a shower including a hairdryer and enough towels for everyone. There is no key, just a cardThere are deductions:- the refrigerator would only work and cool if you were there and had the card in it. Because without a card, there is no electricity. Unfortunately the refrigerator generally didn't work.- Air conditioning only cooled the entrance area to 25 degrees, the rest of the room received nothing. We turned it down a little, but unfortunately the air conditioning still didn't do anything. It ended up being cooler to open the windows.- Regarding WiFi, theoretically it was available. You practically had to move in the middle of the room to receive WiFi. There was nothing left in bed.- There were 2 televisions, which played a maximum of 5 channels. All other channels were there, but there was no signal (there were almost 150 channels in total)The plus point was the underground car park where you could park. However, this costs €1.50 an hour or €18 a day. There were also some parking spaces in front of and next to the hotel.I can't say anything about the terrace because we didn't see it and weren't there. On the last day, the curtain rail including curtains came down from the ceiling in the middle of the night. Luckily we had the window open, so the bar landed on the window, otherwise everything would have fallen on our children. I reported this to reception and the lady was visibly shocked and asked how we were. The hotel is quite well located, but not too close to the main road. I found it pleasantly quiet. You could reach everything on foot. You could also eat breakfast for €24 per person.Overall, there were a few small things that ultimately led us to give us a rather negative ratingA lot of our uncomfortable situation was also caused by the barely functioning air conditioning, in the middle of summer at over 30 degreesWe paid around €127 per night for the 4 of us (children 8 and 3). Without breakfast and parking.
