Premier Inn Berlin Airport Hotel

The equipment of the room and the entire hotel is excellent, modern, clean.However, the impression of the whole place is spoiled by the staff, who spent 30 minutes convincing us that we had no reservation with them.

Before we arrived (after booking) it had already started to look bad. Two single beds were booked. However, the confirmation from the hotel did not say “twin” or “two-bed room”, but only “double”. When we called the hotel they said it could be a system error and not to worry. A week before the start of the vacation, there was neither a corrective email nor any other type of contact. During another call to the hotel, I was told that they had only ordered a “double” room. You could pay the additional costs for a two-bed room at the current price and would then receive this. For me it's an absolute disgrace. After much back and forth, I was assured that it had been noted on the PC that I should be given a twin room. Of course there was no twin room…On the day of arrival at 2:39 p.m. at reception. The staff told me that if I checked in now I would have to pay 15 euros because check-in wasn't until 3 p.m. So the lady shared this with everyone. First of all it should be mentioned that this does not represent Premier Inn standards. It is simply an agreement with the hotel opposite. Everyone can imagine what happened at 3 p.m. A huge queue at reception. Definitely bad planning for me. After this beginning, it seemed clear to me that this hotel (and I'm not saying the hotel chain) wants to make a profit out of everything it can. Certainly 90 percent of the staff couldn't speak German. An attempt was made to understand, but that was it. There should be someone at the reception who can at least speak and understand German and English (very) well.When I got into the room, I was overcome with shock. Not only that, in contrast to the usual Premier Inn rooms used in the photos, the rooms (see photos) were extremely small. Only the bathroom was very comfortable.As far as cleanliness is concerned, you are not given a choice as to whether you want the room cleaned. In the elevator you can see what is being done with the saved room cleaning. A warm meal for children in need. So far so good. But no one said that you weren't informed of this when checking in and that if you wanted room cleaning you had to take action yourself. So the two small trash cans weren't even emptied within 7 days. Also the towels wouldn't have been changed if I hadn't asked for them after 5 days. Here too there were complications. At 4 p.m. I said I needed new towels and how I could get them. At first the lady wanted to give me the towels straight away, then she said that the cleaning staff was still there and that she would let them know. Nobody came until 7 p.m., so I went downstairs with the old towels and got new ones.This doesn't factor into my rating, but I find it incomprehensible that you can't tell guests on the homepage that the S9 won't run for a certain period of time. So a journey of around 40 minutes to the center of Berlin suddenly became a journey time of 1 ½ to 2:15 hours.Recommendation: You can stay in this hotel for 1-2 nights. But if you want to have a longer relaxing vacation, KEEP OFF!

The rooms are functional but functionally equipped, the location is of course perfect, the breakfast was good for the price-performance ratio, but what was absolutely outstanding was the great rudeness of the receptionist Alexandra W.... she was extremely friendly and super helpful, she could do all of my things Solve questions quickly and competently. I have traveled a lot in hotels all over the world but have rarely experienced such an authentic, friendly, helpful and at the same time competent person at the reception!!!I am very impressed with this excellent service and would come back at any time because of this

Seems to be a very new PremierInn: very nice staff, rooms super clean with coffee/tea facilities, also the typically violet evening illumination above the bed, loved the Queensize bed, beddings with two different cushions, and the huge television. Perfect if you have an early morning flight, 10min to airport by taxi, also possible with S-Bahn Grünbergallee. Also, the lobby is super nicely and newly furnished.update: 1.10.2024was here again, everything fine, but somehow the internet was slow on my phone and even didn't work on my second phone. strange, never happened anywhere else. apart from that, everything was fine, they have really nice, quiet rooms and large tv.. like that 👊❤️ and very friendly staff. superclean as well 👏👏👏💚

I have booked the hotel using booking.com and it was said that the hotel is prepayed. As I have used a family member’s credit card for the booking. And when I reached the hotel I was informed that I have to pay onsite or to fill in a form for the money to be taken from the card. I was in this process for about an hour and a half to send the form to my family member to fill in and sign it. And when I told the receptionists about whats on booking they told me its not our fault. So unprofessional.

Nice and clean hotel

No remote control in the room and I had to ask for it which I always forgot to do it. The service was okay. The customer service counters were always busy which I had to wait for quite a long time until they were free to ask some questions. However, one particular service from this male bartender with blonde hair from Hungary today evening was very delightful, which made my day and upgraded the whole experience I had here. 5 stars for his service!

Great hotel, in a nice and quiet location, prices are reasonable as well.
