VERY outdated hotel. Location is good, but that's about it. When I checked into the room (5:30 p.m.), the room hadn't been made yet, so I could see how dirty the mattress topper looked under the bed sheet. I then immediately asked that it be changed, which was also fulfilled. Bed was very hard and the room was in desperate need of renovation.

Friendly staff. VERY bad WIFI. Breakfast announced from 7 on the key card, but only starts at 8. Very worn and dim in the corridors. Smells a lot of weed in the hallway.

I have a course in Berlin from October 17th, 2024 to October 18th, 2024, so it's not as unimportant as you can imagine.About a week before the above dates, my boss booked a hotel room for the specified period. The hotel I was booked into was the City Hotel am Ku'damm, such a beautiful location. I was really happy.Arrival day was October 16th, 2024, so it started.I come from Zwickau and rely on the train with the 49€ ticket. The 4-hour journey turned into 7 hours because of the train delays, so I arrive at the hotel on October 16th, 2024 at around 10:30 p.m. and want to check in. It's just a shame that I'm standing in front of locked doors, but luckily a tenant came and took me inside. There is a sign in the entrance area: Reception 1st floor, so I go up the stairs and see the reception door, also locked. I ring the bell, no one comes, I call the emergency number (which can also be called if the reception is not occupied) and the reception bell rings, no one answers. But then I hear footsteps and a light in the crack in the door, and a TV is also on, but no one comes and opens the door for me.For over an hour I stand in front of locked doors and a storm of bells ringing, I keep calling the emergency number but no one lets me in, EVEN THOUGH someone was there!!!I was stranded in Berlin in the middle of the night on October 16, 2024 and couldn't get to the hotel I booked. Since nothing was available in other hotels and hostels, I was forced to drive back to Zwickau at 12:29 a.m., a 7-hour train ride home and I couldn't do my course. And that's just because of this great hotel cast.I advise everyone not to book this hotel. And I advise the staff to rethink their behavior towards their customers.(If you don't want someone to do it to you, don't do it to anyone else😉)

Oh my God. Unclean, not sure to smell if there is a fire. There is only one exit without an emergency exit, far too dark. Far too risky. I never again.

I made a direct booking in mid-February and arrived on March 5th. Arrive at the hotel around 7:30 p.m. with the confirmation code. They said my booking had been canceled because I had supposedly booked through a booking platform! When I replied that that wasn't true, I was told that I hadn't given my credit card, and then that I hadn't given my address! Either way: I didn't get the room - and that on a Tuesday during the ITB! This hotelier can apparently do anything during the trade fair - or at least he thinks so!

Even though I've read a lot of bad reviews, I can't confirm this. OK, the rooms were old-fashioned and the hotel itself was an old building. But it was clean and the staff were friendly and the price-performance ratio was acceptable for BerlinThe doors were a bit narrow but there were very high ceilings with stucco work that gave the room something specialA hotel owner should modernize his hotel when there are bad reviews and no bookings... you can see that

I always stay at this hotel and have done so for 7 years. The manager Peter is a pleasant, sweet and very attentive person who will always advise, help and get into the situation. Prices are lower than in hotels in this prestigious area of Berlin. My rating is only the highest.
