Skyhostel Friedrichshafen

The hotel is located in the very center, with many shops nearby. We booked a room in this hotel, a suite for 160 euros. The room was on the 11th floor, there was an elevator. Everything is as in the photo on the website. The room has everything: studio room, one double bed, two two-story beds, plasma, air conditioning, small kitchen. The view from the windows is beautiful of the city and the lake. Parking near the hotel is paid, we had to pay 14 euros from 18.00 to 10.00.There are also disadvantages - poor cleaning, dirty windows and spiders on all corners.

So far everything was okBut the cleanliness🤮I get around a lot but that was the dirtiest thing I've ever seen. Sorry, that's not possible!!!

Our suite almost fell apart

How do I best start.... The location almost directly on Lake Constance is of course almost unbeatable for this price. The view from up there is also great. As described, the WiFi also works very well, which, to be honest, we would not have expected if we had taken into account the other points of criticism. But these things don't justify what we actually expected from the house and the room. There are a few things that should definitely be reworked before letting guests in there again. To be honest, the high-rise building in which the “Skyhostel” is located is not the best either. In terms of appearance and atmosphere, it is neither nice nor family-friendly. It stinks a lot when you come in and it doesn't really look like what you would imagine a normal hostel to be like. In addition, you can only get to the room on the 11th floor using the very cramped elevator on the right, which is not really recommended for people who don't like taking elevators or are claustrophobic because of the cramped space. The apparent stairwell through which you could get to the 11th floor is actually locked on the 11th floor! So you either walk to the 10th floor and then take the elevator or you're out of luck. When we first entered the room we immediately noticed that it had either not been cleaned properly or not at all before our arrival. The room itself was nice in terms of furnishings. The blue and white tone also looks pretty good, but the sofa doesn't fit at all. Everything is very functional and simple. So as wanted but not possible. The bathroom was OK, but nothing really special. The towels that were provided to us weren't really enough either. The hostel owners should find out in advance how many guests are coming and then put out more towels or other things accordingly. For us the room itself was enough, but not what we expected...My conclusion: The so-called "Skyhostel" is a great idea, but the implementation just didn't turn out well. If the above things were improved, the hostel would be a little better. Personally, we think that the hostel rooms don't fit into this high-rise building. The atmosphere in this house is comparable to a ghetto. Some very, very strange people live there. It was most likely our first and last visit.

Friendly dealings with flexible and fast service

Good facilities (large room with TV and good WiFi), unfortunately we had to clean ourselves first 🤔 Only one elevator with a key can be used. Great view of Lake Constance. Bottom line, recommended.

I don't know where all the reviews come from, but it's completely ok for the price, 50 euros for a weekend, rooms are clean, the view is wonderful and the hostel is right in the center, WiFi is very good.
