We were there with a voucher. Staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet had something for every taste. Room was large and clean. The food in the restaurant was also delicious. We were thrilled with the dinner. Thank you!

We were there with a larger hiking group and were very impressed by the very friendly, nice staff, great breakfast (they organized and decorated a nice row of tables especially for us many people),Very tasty and rich, dinner very very tasty,We would highly recommend traveling there again at any time.Thank you again

A hotel that extends over several buildings (main and annex). Despite the relatively old age of the houses, the rooms are sufficiently large and clean. Rooms facing the street have a high level of noise pollution due to the noise of vehicles rolling on the cobblestones. The breakfast is standard without any highlights. The evening cuisine is very good.

We were in Stollberg for a long weekend. We stayed overnight at the Hotel zum Kanzler.Everything was fine. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, as is usual these days, my dish was not homemade. Dumplings from Pfanni, ready-made sauce, red cabbage also from a can. Everything about this meal was a disappointment. Why would a trained chef get involved in something like this?If I as a guest pay 20.50 euros for a dish, then I expect quality.

So, not recommended with a voucher!We were given a two-night voucher with a 3-course menu and a voucher for dinner for the second evening. The staff was very unfriendly, which we blamed on the fact that we had vouchers and no cash.At the reception we were immediately informed that our room was in the old post office and not in the “hotel”.We didn't get any sleep all night because the street in front of our room was only accessible on one side and all vehicles used this corner as a turning loop.In the relatively large bathroom, there was no place to put your utensils, so you had to put your wash bag on the floor.The breakfast was okay, but the dinner left a lot to be desired (lukewarm).We have been to the Harz many times and were very satisfied, but we don't need this hotel again.My sister gave us this voucher and also invested heavily to make us happy, which annoys me even more.This hotel is out of the question for us.Maybe only recommended with cash or card.

We stayed with 38 people for 5 nights in this beautiful listed hotel. The rooms are very different: some simple, small and simple, others cozy and relatively large. All rooms including the bathroom were very clean. The food on offer is regional and very tasty. A highlight are the “Stolberger Lerchen”, which can only be made in the kitchen of this hotel. The breakfast buffet offers a sufficient selection and the service is very friendly and attentive. We have felt very comfortable here!Overall, I would like to say that the price/performance ratio in this hotel is really good.

We were there for 2 nights. We received a very friendly welcome. Our room was in the guest house next door and was great overall, only in the bathroom we would have liked a little more storage space (but that's complaining at a high level!!). All the employees were super friendly and the breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful time!!

We were there for 2 days. The team is super nice. A big thank you again for that. Decent rooms (simple but clean). Good normal breakfast as a buffet.The food in the “Kanzler” – great value for money.The place is a pearl in the Harz. We will go there again - also to the hotel - when the Tyragrotte (thermal spa) there is open again, then there will be a change. Unfortunately, some areas in the Harz are no longer beautiful - here it's like a journey back in time - beautifully renovated half-timbered houses in a suitable ambience. Everyone we met there in the service area was super friendly, simply kind.
