The hotel is good for everyone who just needs peace and quiet. You can't eat there; according to the staff, the nearest restaurant is about 15 kilometers away. The rooms do not have a shower or toilet, the shared shower and shared toilet are shared with three other guests. There was no towel in my room; I must have forgotten it because my companion had one on the bed.Unfortunately the television didn't work either. There is a room with a kitchen where you can make something to eat while being watched by the house cat sitting on the table.If the weather is good, breakfast is served outside, bread rolls, jam, eggs, two types of sausage and cheese, coffee and orange juice. There is also a shelter for cyclists.

We used this hotel for a business stay and consciously chose this hotel, 30km away from our place of work, as it was one of the few with a charging station for electric vehicles. To be on the safe side, I spoke to the owner again by telephone three days before the overnight stay and asked whether this was also available. It turned out that the charging station was just a 230V/16A Schuko socket. Alternatively, 400V/16A would be available. Since the time window for charging was only 6-7 hours, I bought an expensive adapter for the 400V connection so that my employee could charge accordingly. Unfortunately, the owner himself had no idea what price he wanted to charge for the store.The promise and agreement to give me a price before the stay or to make this agreement directly with me did not materialize.The charging itself then worked on site. In consultation with my employee to discuss this again in the morning, my employee waited in vain for half an hour for a contact person. He then left the location due to the subsequent customer appointment.When I contacted me the following day, I was simply asked for my billing address via WhatsApp and then received an invoice for the absurd price of €1/kWh without any further dialogue.When I subsequently called to clarify this issue, we were then accused of cheating. Of course we paid the bill at an overpriced price, but I can only advise against anyone trying to make arrangements with this house.I am still willing to clarify the matter through dialogue.

When we arrived we were thrilled. A beautiful castle and the room (Blue Chamber) was large and wonderfully furnished. The operator gave us a friendly welcome and we immediately felt at home.However, then came the disillusionment and the reason for the two star deduction. It wasn't clean, an absolute no go in my opinion. The surface of the cupboard was very dusty and things weren't any better in the cupboard either. Dead insects and dust on the shelf. Almost every piece of furniture had a not entirely insignificant layer of dust on the edges. It goes without saying that you should wipe it once before guests arrive.It's a shame for us, because otherwise the stay was really wonderful. There is a shared bathroom, but this is the corner you usually go to to get away from the stress of the city. Therefore you will definitely have to wait a few minutes if it is busy.

The first impression is overwhelming, beautifully designed, everything is clean, very nice castle staff and lady, lots of cats sneaking through the corridors.Breakfast was perfectly fine, and the price for a room was also reasonable.It's just a shame that there is a shared bathroom.

I can't say anything about the rooms or service, but the Lohm elementary school was great back then and an educational time. A lot has changed and yet some things have been recognized again.

Lohm Castle is worth a trip!!! It was restored by the owner with great attention to detail and absolutely exceeded our expectations. As soon as you walk in you are completely overwhelmed by this great atmosphere. No matter how many times you walk through it, you always find great new details. We had the blue room which was just fantastic. I would also like to particularly emphasize that animals are welcome in this castle and we were able to spend our vacation with our little dog, who felt noticeably comfortable, which only strengthened our impression of this place. The surrounding area also has so much to offer in terms of leisure activities and exercise opportunities that the days were far too short. If you are looking for lots of nature and water combined with unique accommodation then you should definitely go there. It's definitely not the last time we've been there, we'll be back!!!!
