Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The rooms were in terrible condition and the bathroom was full of mold which made the stay very unpleasant. The breakfast was also anything but satisfactory - the fruit and vegetables seemed to come from the previous day and were not fresh. We cannot recommend this hotel.

Great service in the hotel, help is provided immediately, you are always welcomed in a friendly manner and the house is so old and clocky and simply beautiful.Breakfast was great and is cheap. Dogs are also very welcome and are given water straight away at breakfast, for example, which is why I would give 10 stars!

Our stay at the Hotel zur Goldenen Sonne in Quedlinburg was a big disappointment. The rooms are old, run down and dirty. They are also extremely noisy - you can constantly hear loud water and heating noise. The windows are leaky, so you can hear the street noise loudly from 5:30 a.m. - it's impossible to sleep. The bathroom was full of mold. The entire hotel, including the breakfast room, is under video surveillance, which I find very worrying for data protection reasons. In addition, the hotel is carelessly furnished and does not radiate any coziness. Overall, absolutely not recommended!

The employees were very nice and friendly. The food and drinks were tasty and very plentiful. There was a problem with the room.We had booked a comfort double room and got a holiday apartment.Even the entrance to this apartment was dirty and uninviting. The apartment was also not in good condition and not clean. The bathroom is in urgent need of renovation! We were disappointed.Too bad.

We are a bit surprised by the good reviews. The rooms were clean, but the bathroom smelled of mold remover and/or paint. It was also clear (because they were poorly done) that the tiles in the shower had simply been painted over.Spring in mattress made it uncomfortable to sleep on your side.We had requested a cot, but there was none in the room.In addition, three out of three times there was no one at the reception and we always had to wait a while. The first time we tried by phone instead, but no one answered.Breakfast was okay/good.In addition, after arriving at the parking lot in the afternoon, we had to walk all the way around the outside to get to the hotel because the back was closed and no one answered the phone.Overall, not a great stay, although the view of the fountain was nice.

We looked for and booked a hotel for a weekend with our friends in Quedlinburg. We were able to spend a short break in the Golden Sun, explore the surrounding area and have a delicious meal in the restaurant in the evening. It is aCentrally located hotel, rustic and with damn good cuisine. Employees very courteous and considerate. We can only recommend it. Kudos to the boss and his team!
