We were there as a group of girls. We received a very friendly welcome, we had booked a suite and a double room. Everything was great.We used the wellness area (pool and sauna), unfortunately the pool was too cold for us... but our littlest jumped in anyway. For dinner we had a 3-course menu...everything was fresh and tasted delicious...requests were also responded to...super nice waiters.It was a great stay for us and we would love to come back.

We booked a double room here for a short stay.Lt. Description a room with a city view. The view of the city then turned out to be a view of the railway line, over which freight trains thundered even at night, and of one of Merseburg's main roads. Opening the window at night was out of the question.The room (413) was on the top floor with a view to the west. The sun had already heated up the room quite a bit during the day and this continued until sunset. We tried to ventilate the room until we went to bed, but the traffic noise was very unpleasant.It remained quite stuffy in the room at night. You won't find an adjustable air conditioning system here. There is apparently central ventilation, but it was not in operation. It would be unimaginable if you had to spend the night here in midsummer.So we didn't have a good night's sleep, especially since the mattress was quite soft, i.e. clearly too soft. Otherwise, the rather small room was simply and functionally equipped with limitations. The utensils for making coffee and tea were hidden in the cupboard because there was no space for them due to the lack of suitable furniture.In the morning we had to prepare our coffee on the floor. We didn't book breakfast for €18(!) per person, the price is simply disproportionate.There was no minibar in the room either, so no chilled drinks either. We didn't touch the bottle with half a liter of water warmed by the sun at an outrageous price of €3.90.What we didn't like was the lighting. The lamps by the bed are far too bright, unfortunately they cannot be dimmed. So either uncomfortable light or dark, there is nothing in between.Otherwise everything was neat and clean in the room and bathroom.The restaurant was not open (Sunday). According to the hotel description, that was not to be expected.So we had to look for something in the city. Due to the unfavorable location of the hotel, we preferred to drive into the city center after a strenuous day; it would have been too far for us to walk. Unfortunately there is no alternative restaurant near the hotel.Speaking of cars: a €10 fee per night for parking in the hotel car park is steep. The fact that there are only resident parking spaces in the surrounding residential area is shamelessly exploited here.The ladies at reception were friendly, otherwise we had no contact with the staff.All in all, based on our experiences, we cannot recommend this hotel.

Outside Hui, inside ---Defective furniture in the room, some swollen wooden furnishings. Not really clean, the bedside table was still full of stains.Shower not clean and unfortunately no water pressure with warm water.However, the service staff in the restaurant was really great

4 stars for this hotel is a joke... The hotel is very old, careless and only functional. The hallways smell stale and musty, the chlorine from the “swimming pool” (cough) stinks all the way up to the floors. A very flippant waiter reprimands the guests in an unpleasant way... no thanks, we won't be coming back. Too bad about the money

The hotel and the staff are top. If you're looking for peace and quiet, you've come to the wrong place, at least in summer. If the window is open, the noise from the train line is unbearable, even in the rooms on the side.

I like the Best Western, but the lack of AIR CONDITIONING is a disgrace. It's four o'clock and over thirty degrees in the senators' suite. Unbearable.

Never again where the 4 stars come from is a mystery to me- Location very loud right next to the railway embankment (freight trains run all night and without air conditioning the window has to stay open), the neighbor opposite starts early at 5 a.m. with loud music- Rooms have a bad musty smell, carpets are stained, guests smoke on the terrace downstairs, which went directly into our room on the 2nd floor- Lower entrance area around the pool smells intensely fishy, pool has a bad, intense smell of chlorine (sign of high urine concentration)- Breakfast staff inattentive and busy with other things even after repeated requests- Food uninspired and loveless standard- Overall impression of the hotel: run down and stuck in the chic of the pre-2000s

Nice hotel and clean rooms. But the rooms smell like my grandma's living room and are very old-fashioned and spartan.I also think €3.90 for a small bottle of water in the room is pretty cheeky for a 4 star hotel.Furthermore, 10€ (12€ underground car park) for parking is also unreasonable considering that the hotel is not directly in the city center.The breakfast is varied and fresh. Unfortunately, the rolls are sticky and not particularly recommended.

Whether at the reception, in the restaurant or in room service - I encountered a friendly smile and a helpful hand everywhere.The rooms at the Best Western Hotel were comfortable, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. I could always look forward to a restful night after a long day of activities. The amenities and service in the hotel left nothing to be desired.The dining experience at the hotel's restaurant was also excellent. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of delicious food and drinks that got my day off to a perfect start. Dinner was also a pleasure - the quality of the food and the service were simply first class.Overall, I can fully recommend the Best Western Hotel. For one night on business in Merseburg.First of all - nothing was really bad! The room was clean, great bed and pleasantly large, the breakfast was also OK - hotel standard but everything you need was there. The staff in the breakfast area and at the reception were incredibly courteous and friendly - overall more than you can say about many other hotels.Disadvantages for me: I had a room directly facing the street and the windows could be opened "fully or not at all" - even though it wasn't particularly warm outside, the room was stuffy and ventilation was only possible to a limited extent due to the orientation towards the street. Parking is very tight, I didn't test whether the restaurant was still active, but it didn't look like it.Conclusion: A good choice for one or two nights in Merseburg.
