The rooms are old but clean. The house is very noisy, which limits your stay somewhat. The location is good and close to the center.

We only had food here but it was very tasty, the service was very friendly and the prices were cheap. The food was simple, without any frills and focused on the essentials. But very tasty 😋.

It's actually quite nice if you block out the traffic noise. Much worse is the unfriendly hospitality - in certain places you are only allowed to drink and not even order small snacks or appetizers. You will not be offered a place where places become available.

We can only rate the gastronomy, we were not hotel guests. We were recommended the hotel by a café and quickly called them to reserve a table. The employee on the phone was really extremely friendly. Once we got there, the friendliness continued; we had really hard-working, considerate and friendly waitresses. The food was amazing. So we haven't had anything this delicious for a long time. The food came quickly, but was freshly prepared. My father has to watch out for gluten, so you can tell relatively quickly whether the food is freshly cooked. The cook was also able to answer our questions and then recommended a corresponding dish. Super! The wines are also very tasty, there are many wines from the surrounding wineries. Pricing is completely fine, even pleasantly cheap. We really enjoyed being your guests and will be back in 2 weeks.Tip: The layered cabbage with potatoes tastes absolutely delicious!

I had reserved two rooms with breakfast for myself and my parents, both in their 80s, for a family celebration at the Hotel “Zum alten Krug”. I booked directly through the hotel website; Confirmation came quickly via email and communication was friendly.When we arrived in the evening, we were initially told that arrival was only possible until 9 p.m. and that we should be happy that we were still welcomed at all. However, the website only says that check-in is from 3 p.m. and the restaurant is open until 11 p.m. We were also harshly told that they couldn't find any bookings for us in their own documents and therefore hadn't expected us at all. Luckily I had brought a printout of the written booking confirmation with me and was able to present it to the lady at the counter. The employee then left and let us wait in the dining room for a while, but then got another employee who was very friendly and made rooms available for us at short notice.The rooms are okay, although they look nicer in the pictures online than they are in reality. But they were very clean and everything you needed was there. The bedside lamps were missing their lampshades in both rooms, there are no shower gel dispensers, the room doors are painted orange on the outside and give off a certain flair that I usually know from youth hostels. The wooden windows have insulated glazing and close tightly, but they just need to be painted urgently to prevent the start of a rotting process on the outside. But these are not serious aspects for guests. I noticed that there were no smoke detectors installed in the two hotel rooms, but there were in the hallways. I don't know whether this is the standard that applies to the state of Saxony-Anhalt. In my home state, smoke detectors are mandatory in bedrooms. It is important to note that the stairs to the guest rooms on floors 1 to 3 are very steep. This was a big challenge for my parents because there is no elevator. The stairwell and hallways are covered with carpeting that is now very worn and is just barely working. At the edges of stairs you can sometimes see the fabric underneath the pile.The very rich breakfast and the location in the middle of the historic city center are positive. Naumburg Cathedral and the beautiful old town are just a stone's throw away.

Rustic hotel, right in the center near the cathedral, with newly renovated rooms. Unfortunately, we still had a slightly older model brand youth room with pine furniture, two single beds put together and a wardrobe that couldn't close properly. Bathroom was functional with shower and toilet. Everything is a bit old but clean. Unfortunately there is no water in the room. Had to pay over 7 euros for 1 bottle at the counter!! Breakfast is served at the table and offers everything you need. Service is nice and courteous. Please come back again, but please stay in one of the beautiful rooms as shown on the internet and bring a bottle of water with you.

A very clean room with nice furnishings. Well-equipped bathroom.You can also order local food here in the evening, outdoors.I found it totally original.The bicycle garage was about 80 m away.But the bike was safely stored.PS the stairs were steep, but only to the 1st floor.

ALSO recommended after the change of operator at the beginning of 2020, the cook remained, most of the staff also and the location between the cathedral city and the citizen city is of course ideal. And regularly with live music in the outdoor area.

Visited again after a long timeIn the restaurant "Alten Krug" we were positively impressed by the service, the food on offer and the overall atmosphere. A bee for the kitchen because the food was delicious. We will now visit the cozy restaurant more often. Keep it up, then all guests will be happy and happy!

All in all OK. Above all, clean. The furnishings are very simple and a bit out of date. The stairs to the rooms are quite steep. Just old building. But it is affordable in price. The breakfast is very decent. I think checking out by 10:00 and breakfast until 9:30 is quite sporty. The hotel restaurant offers regional, home-style cuisine.
