It's easy to underestimate this hotel and the restaurant. Because you only realize its true size and quality once you're inside. There are now several guest rooms, cellars, courtyards and parlors with rustic and cozy furnishings.The rooms on the upper floor extend across several interconnected buildings and are modern and functionally furnished.There are plenty of free parking spaces opposite, and a closed part of the building is available for bicycles. I can't say whether there is an elevator. I didn't see any. This means that the upper floor (hotel) would only be accessible by stairs.The service is good, the team is motivated and helpful.We would have liked a lactose-free alternative to milk at breakfast, such as oat or soy milk.The restaurant leaves nothing to be desired. Regional food and wine at its finest.

Quaint hotel right in the center of Freyburg. Clean rooms, very good service, extremely courteous and friendly staff. Rustic hotel that fits perfectly into the area and also suits its name.Thanks to its central location, everything in Freyburg can be easily reached on foot.In the city itself, all cycling, hiking and other paths are well signposted.Highly recommend the hotel, the city and the region.Will definitely come back.

The positive thing was that we got something to eat after 2 p.m. and it was tasty - black puddingThe restaurant is very quaint.negative: the beer garden was not open, even though the weather was nice (the great inner courtyard is advertised above the entrance)We were horrified by the waitress' dress code: worn-out T-shirt, worn-out sweatpants and sneakers > you can't let an employee walk around like that!The waitress's clothing (?) was also not appropriate.

We went there for dinner last weekend and loved it. The ambience, the courteous service and of course the food convinced us. Respect is due to the team and the senior manager, who, when asked, told us interesting facts about the history of the house and allowed us to tour the wine cellar. The hotel with its rustic restaurant has great service.We had a large, clean room. We got an extra bed for our small child and a high chair was always at hand. The breakfast buffet is rich and fresh every day.Price-performance ratio is great!We felt very comfortable and would book here again!Thanks to the team!

I can only speak for the hotel. The single room was really not nice. Completely outdated, miniature televisions, stained carpet, the bathroom was missing holders for soap and shower (the bottles were just standing there), the lighting was reminiscent of fluorescent tubes in prison series, there wasn't even a trash can. And for a pretty hefty price. Absolutely not recommended. The breakfast wasn't a highlight either, the coffee was a real disgrace. Next time I will look for another accommodation in Freyburg.

Hotel 'Altdeutsche Weinstuben - Künstlerkeller' in Freyburg:Old historical building right in the center of Freyburg. Our double room was on the 1st floor and was accessible via an old wooden staircase and a very, very long hallway. The room was extremely warm and closing the curtains only helped to a limited extent. The existing table fan had no chance. There was no safe or refrigerator, a small TFT television was available. There were no trash cans. There is only a small trash can in the bathroom for cosmetics. Overall, the room seemed shabby and the dirty carpeting was unreasonable for a room price of €124. Breakfast was included in the price and also decent. However, we would have preferred to have breakfast outside. The restaurant was quaint and fits well into the wine country, especially the outdoor area. However, the service was completely overwhelmed and we waited forever. The staffing level is apparently too thin. Food and drinks were okay. All in all, conditionally recommended. Not for people with walking difficulties!

Popular traditional restaurant in the middle of the wine town with a good menu and very attentive service. When the weather is good, it's worth sitting in the inner courtyard, which is idyllically surrounded by vines. The menu is small and fine, from asparagus dishes to Thuringian Rostbrätl. Wine lovers are enthusiastic about the large selection of regional wines.
