We had a room on the first floor where the shower and bathroom amenities were very worn out. The shower and tiles had a lot of brown discoloration. The snack machine in the lobby had no change, so had to ask the front desk. There was no bottle opener for the bottle of water that was given as a gift.

I've never been to a hotel (and this isn't my first) where people didn't check the room every day and, for example, make the bed. This morning, on the third day, I put the towels on the floor (international identification symbol) and dutifully hung my sign on the outside of the door handle asking me to prepare the room and when I got back after 10 hours, NOTHING happened.I called the front desk and asked what was going on....Only if you contact us or let us know at reception will you get new hand/shower/bath towels and maybe the bed will be made...Never experienced it before!!Conclusion: well...Oh well: unfortunately the restaurant is also closed. Thank God the same doesn't apply to the bar, so you can still have a delicious beer here...

Terrible! I don't expect any special comfort on a business trip, but it should be clean! When I entered the room, the door behind the door had probably not been vacuumed in weeks. The grout lines in the shower were black and had probably not been cleaned for a long time. The toilet bowl had yellow edges on the outside. Simply disgusting! When I asked for this problem to be remedied, it was probably not possible to do it on the same evening because there were no cleaning staff in the evening. You couldn't give another room. Of course the room wasn't cleaned the next day. So back to reception. There was probably someone from the hotel management there. The boss asked her employee if I was there and asked for help, which she said no and thus flat out lied. Then I became very annoyed, but not rude. At least the boss saw the mess in person that same evening. And gave me a voucher for the bar as an apology, but that didn't allow for immediate cleaning. It wasn't until the 3rd day that it was finally cleaned. Luckily, other hotel guests who were present at reception when I complained noticed this and looked at each other very embarrassed. I also talked to other guests in the hotel and they said I had one of the better rooms. Conclusion: Never again! By the way, I can prove this mess with photos.

I was annoyed that I had to pay almost €100 per night for a dirty room. The hotel is around 30 years old and nothing has been renovated in that time (see shower, totally rusted).They planned to have far too many guests at breakfast, so many of them couldn't find a place to sit.The buffet was okay, the bar was also okay. However, this price is unjustified for dirty and rusty rooms.

Very nice and courteous staff in all areas.Bar and breakfast staff very accommodating and recommended. The hotel is very centrally located - the train station is right next to it - but you hardly hear anything in the rooms - it's ok even with the windows open -We were on the 4th floor - the bathroom was small but nicely done and everything was clean and ok.Parking space in front of the door (15€)We have to mention one negative thing - there are no charging stations for electric cars nearby or in the hotel parking lot - the nearest one is 4 km away - so you should keep that in mind - there are some with electric cars.But the staff can't do anything about it - they should pass on the management!But we would like to come back because everything was really good and very good!

The hotel is getting old, which is not dramatic. What is lacking is cleanliness. In other reviews, guests have described the dirty and poor condition of the bathrooms or the dusty and dirty closets.

The location is great, as is the parking space. The staff is friendly. However, the bathroom is a disaster. The shower back wall and the toilet holder were renovated. But the shower and the door were moldy. There was a strange hair stuck to the mirror. The bed linen was stained, as were the lampshades. You couldn't actually touch the curtains. Very unfortunate.

Two years ago, the upper floors three and four were renovated and also have air conditioning. Unfortunately, the other floors have somehow been forgotten and the worn condition is getting worse. Refrigerators are sometimes no longer available. All of the hangers for the pants are broken and can no longer be used and could perhaps be replaced. The showers are a hygienic catastrophe and for people who have to sleep during the day, the curtains have ridiculous holes in them. Unfortunately, you cannot influence which floor you get a room on. This is solely in the hands of the receptionist.

The rooms are in dire need of sprucing up - bathroom, upholstered furniture, curtains, .... The minibar was missing and there was a thick layer of dust in the place.The staff at the reception sometimes seemed awkward and despite a confirmed reservation for our group, there were long waiting times when checking in and different bookings regarding breakfast. In the end everyone got a room but all we got was a “sorry” for the time that was unnecessarily wasted.

The hotel is conveniently located if you want to go into the city. Even though my room overlooked the train station, you couldn't hear any of the trains when the window was closed.Since I sleep with the window open, it still worked. The loudspeaker announcements could only be heard in the distance.What I didn't like at all was the bathroom, which was a bit "run down". The joints in the shower were moldy and the sliding door didn't look pleasant either. The curtain in the room had a very unsightly dark spot.However, I also read that the hotel was probably in the process of renovating the bathrooms. I'm just wondering why, in an under-utilized hotel, the finished rooms aren't rented out first.The breakfast was okay, the staff was very friendly.I also found it positive that if you book three nights you get a voucher for 5 euros if you forgo the daily room and bathroom cleaning.If I come to Magdeburg again, I would like to stay there again.
