I was able to get to know the Bonnox Boardinghouse for one night and was very happy with what I found: a large room with its own small kitchenette, a clean bathroom with a large shower, a comfortable bed and, above all, a rich breakfast buffet. Full marks.

What I found to be very good was the long check-in until 10:30 p.m. We had previously been out and about in Bonn for dinner and were then able to comfortably drive to the hotel in the evening, where we were greeted very friendly.We had a basic apartment, which was in the basement, right at the front, which I found a bit annoying because everyone traipsed past there and you were under surveillance if you didn't close the curtains. Next time I would rather spend a few euros more if the apartment were higher up.When we came in there was a bit of a cellar smell and the window had already been opened so that it wasn't so noticeable.The apartment itself was comfortably furnished in warm red tones, everything you needed such as dishes, cutlery, dish soap and towels, etc. was there. Drinks were also available. I also found the beds very good, box spring beds, you lay really soft and could sleep well. We didn't hear any trains.Where a little more could urgently be done is in terms of cleanliness. There were quite a few cobwebs, for example. on the night lamps and inside on the swing-out table that we used for breakfast. The window between the bathroom (only with a frosted glass sliding door!) and the bedroom, which was very effectively illuminated with LEDs, no longer looked so streaky. What a shame actually!Nevertheless, the boarding house is e.g. Well suited for a city trip on a weekend if you can ignore it. The price was cheaper than many other hotels and the location was good, for example. want to visit the Japanese Garden and the Rheinaue.I can't comment on the breakfast because at €14 per person for one morning we skipped it.Addendum: Thank you for the immediate, detailed answer. Criticism seems to be well received and taken seriously here! Maybe we'll have the opportunity to check the implementation 😉

Very large and modern room with kitchenette. Very nice, modern bathroom and a view of the greenery, with the train being quite close and audible. WiFi included for 2 devices via CaptivePortal and voucher. Breakfast very balanced, unfortunately no scrambled eggs/bacon/Nuremberger. Own parking space with map.

Large, clean and functionally furnished rooms. Just the thing for a short trip to Bonn. Breakfast was absolutely fine. What I would like to highlight was the consistently very friendly staff. Two shirts that were left in the room were sent to us immediately and unbureaucratically by post. Thank you again for that!!

We stayed for a couple of months at the Bonnox and everything was extremely nice! The rooms were very comfortable and the staff made staying with two very young children a breeze. Very friendly and supportive the whole time!The only issue we had was that most likely due to a poor design decision the fire alarm is too close to the kitchen and even cooking a regular meal can trigger it to start to the point where it can even apparently automatically call the fire department, so… make sure you’re extra careful at all times as that can turn out to be a huge problem.

I'll start with the best and that was the staff, especially at reception, who were very friendly and helpful.The outside of the hotel is a bit old, the rooms appear to have been renovated some time ago.For me the price/performance ratio wasn't quite right, but that was probably due to the time when some events and many hotels in Bonn were obviously fully booked.
