Not an overall great experience.We checked in on their automatic machine at the entrance, nobody was at the desk. It gave us a room number and code to unlock the room.When we typed in the code and open the door, we realised the room was already occupied !!!Since we did not see any staff member we got really stressed about this situation and how to get the room we booked for the night.Luckily we found a staffer. He was surprised that the room was occupied (???). We got an other room without problem. But when we asked about how to acces the hotel later in the evening we were told that the main doors are always open...We were staying only one night, so we kept the room, but if we were staying monger in Aachen, we would have cancelled and tried to find another accomodation.Because, in addition to the initial stress about the room mixup, we ended up in stress to first leave our possession in this room since it seems anybody could open it by mistake (just like we did we our original room). And then, with the idea that ANYONE could enter the hotel unsupervised at any time...............That said, the bed was surprisingly okay.But we were happy to check out the next day.We will never book in this hotel again, and probably think twice to book with an Iris Budget elsewhere.

Our door only closed with force.People find private conversations more important than serving hotel guests.In retrospect, the communication with the hotel was absolutely a disgrace. Telephone is never occupied. And there is no response to emails.

Positive: The rooms were clean and the staff was relatively friendly, but not much help! It is and remains an Ibis Budget.Negative: The first night without heating, with absolutely cold room temperatures and helplessness from the staff. The hotel doesn't deserve a second chance!The hotel management doesn't think it's necessary to respond to emails and complaints!

Wrong info online, saying check out is at 11 although it's at 12. Also they need to sort stuff out with booking.com, because we booked the hotel thinking we get free parking and 24/7 reception. We didn't get neither.

Room clean and functional, shower is basically in the room, so okay alone or as a couple, otherwise difficult. Breakfast was cheap and sufficient, nothing special. Difficult: the location. Quietly set back a bit, but at the forecourt/exit to the underground car park is a junkie meeting point with all the trimmings. I didn't feel very comfortable there in the dark and heard loud screaming several times at night. Location itself is good for a conference, but wouldn't book again.

Was it cheap? It was so cheap. Was it good? Yes, it was cheap. :) This sums up this hotel. It's a pity you can't give half a star because the hotel is a perfect 3.5. The advantage is definitely the location and the parking lot, the entrance to which is literally a few meters from the hotel door. Cleanliness was okay, towels in the room (changed even the next day) as well as shower gel and soap. There are dozens of channels on the TV and even one or two in Polish. Room lighting controlled from the bed. The minus is definitely the lack of a bathroom as such, there is only a toilet. From the shower you go straight into the room. If people with privacy issues are traveling, this may be a problem. The system of booking and collecting the room code at the kiosk is simple, although the location of the card reader is not intuitive (top of the recess under the screen). Here we come to the best part. If you have a reservation with Booking for more than one day, you will log in to the room, get a door code and pay, but ONLY FOR ONE DAY. This means that after the first hotel day has passed, your code stops working and you will not be able to enter the room. Then you either wait for service from 5 p.m. or wait until the kiosk starts accepting guests from 3 p.m., you will pay for another day and get a new door code. Therefore, if possible, it is worth finding someone at the reception and paying for the entire stay. The hotel restaurant is quite modest, we didn't use it because we chose breakfast in the city. The coffee from the machine in the lobby was not very good, according to friends. It's worth walking a few steps and buying something in a place on Peterstrasse.

Stay away from this hotel. I had a reservation made via booking. They claimed it was cancelled by booking while it was not true. I had to book another hotel at the last moment paying a lot more than expected.
