We have reserved rooms here for many colleagues due to a company event in Essen (on the Rü) and can only recommend the hotel!Very friendly service (in advance by email with Ms. Albrecht), super nice, modern and very tastefully furnished rooms, everything was very clean and the location is simply great!!! :)

Proximity to the Alfried Krupp Clinic / O.p. the following day.Because of the long distance we stayed in this beautiful hotel.The room was very clean.The beds were super comfortable. The bed linen was high quality and comfortable. The bathroom was chic. The towels were super thick and cozy.The restaurant recommendation (50 m away) TRATTORIA TRUFFEL was brilliant. A cozy atmosphere and delicious food rounded off the stay beautifully.Great parking options.

Nice hotel and very nice rooms.We had booked breakfast as well. There was enough available, everyone should find something. Drinks such as juice and various coffees are available from a machine with a grinder.We would come again.

A cheap little hotel..I had a simple single room, which was very comfortable and clean... the reception is on the first floor and a bit difficult to find, and the old name is still on the outside of the hotel. If the taxi driver hadn't helped me, I would probably have driven past ...Very central location on Rüttenscheider Strasse... great cafes and lots of small shops for shopping...Highly recommended for a weekend!!!

Good location. The hotel is a bit old. Windows not soundproof. Room noisy (302). Parking available under the hotel (15 EUR daily rate, so it is better to use parking lot A at Giradet-Haus, 10 EUR daily rate). Friendly and helpful reception staff. Unfortunately the room was not 100% clean upon arrival. Unfortunately, reception cannot be reached by phone during guest check-in, as I was told. Elevator signage not updated: if you want to go to reception you have to press button 1 not 0. They have so far neglected to replace the signs in the elevator. For some reason the elevator always goes to the ground floor.08/11/24: I just found out today from the friendly receptionist that the parking tickets can be discounted by 3 EUR. We've probably stayed here 5 times and they're only telling us about it today. Hmmm...Since the parking machine is not part of the hotel, the hotel employees can only listen to the guests' frustration. I wrote to the operator and asked when the machine would be technically advanced and converted to card payment. Because you always have to pay appropriately. This means that you may have to go to the bank beforehand to have the appropriate change.Update 08/24/24: Hotel guests can no longer enter the underground car park from 10:30 p.m. This is locked. Previous emails to the operator of the garage (Mainstreet Parking UG from Essen-Bredeney) were skillfully ignored. I can only recommend looking for parking options in the surrounding area. The garage is not (!) part of the hotel (unfortunately), because then the service would hopefully be better.Room 008: There are no additional hooks in the bathroom for the towels. And the quick flush of the toilet doesn't work (or is that intentional? But then it wouldn't fit into the idea of your environmental campaign.)

Positive: Clean, relatively newly renovated rooms, tastefully decorated.Negative: No Smart TV, and connecting a TV stick is technically blocked. No facial tissues or cosmetic mirrors in the bathroom. Very hot in summer and noisy when the window is open due to the location. Clear breakfast (for over 28 euros for 2 I get more in the numerous restaurants outside) and parking is relatively expensive and inconvenient as there are no day tickets available so you have to pay in cash at the machine every time you change. 3 euro discount from the hotel

It would be appropriate to upgrade the air conditioning as it was 35 degrees in the room last week. Otherwise it was clean and we would come back! 😊

I do not recommend this hotel. When I saw the room, we had to find another hotel in the middle of the night. Its reception still ignores the complaints to this day. The room sold as a comfortable triple turned out to be a small double room with a sofa bed normally used for watching TV. As a result, around these two "beds" there was about 50 cm of space left. Terrible cramped conditions. Not only was there no air conditioning or fan, but there was not even ventilation in the high-rise building. The staff in the buffet do not clear the dishes regularly but wait until the end of the breakfast time. As a result, the next guests eat among an increasing amount of food leftovers from previous guests and a pile of dirty dishes. Definitely not recommended. This is my worst hotel experience in Germany. I warned that the windows on the upper floors open horizontally and the window sills are low - children could fall out.Hotel not recommended. When I saw the room we had to look for another hotel in the middle of the night. His receptionist continues to ignore the complaints to this day. The room was clean and actually quite nice in terms of furnishings. A separate toilet isn't bad in itself either. But the room is far too small and has no ventilation. There was also no ventilation in the bathroom, which isn't great when showering. There were initially 2 sets of towels for 3 guests, but the missing one could easily be picked up at reception. I will never understand why hotels fail to provide enough towel hooks in the bathrooms. Of course it would also be good if the towels had appropriate loops (they didn't).It's understandable that you can't open the windows on the 4th floor. However, the fact that only 2 could be tilted was not nice. It was far too warm, there is no air conditioning. Lt. The reception is aware of the situation and fans are offered as an alternative.The receptionists were friendly, when we asked about a forgotten toothbrush we were directed to the main train station (because it was a Sunday). Although bamboo toothbrushes are offered in the hotel. We only saw this in the display case at reception when checking out.The labeling in the elevator is misleading. The reception is shown one floor lower than it is. It is in the breakfast room.The breakfast is ok. But nothing more. The usual. And in my opinion not worth €19. But the hotel certainly knows how to refute this. 😀Due to the location it is also very loud in the room. And especially if Germany wins the group at the 2024 European Championship. I wouldn't want to be there if D became European champions. 😉The hotel does not have its own parking spaces. But you could rent a parking space in the underground car park for €12. We were directed to the adjacent side streets, where there was a regulation that you could park for free. We also found a parking space on Sunday evening after a certain amount of searching.All in all, the hotel is recommended for 1-2 nights, but not when it's warm.

Very small rooms, but quite newly equipped. clean. Great location near the metro station. parking at the hotel, indoor and outdoor - for a fee cash only (but you can ask for a discount at the reception). If you domkot need clean the room everyday you will get water for free. cons - non-functioning air conditioning, unusual way of unlocking room, little choice for breakfast (there are several cafes, bakeries nearby for a better breakfast), the hotel is located by the main avenue, so when the window is open due to non-functioning air conditioning there can be more noise in the room.

Very chic little rooms, nicely decorated, clean. Elevator. Everything you need. Underground parking is brightly lit, which feels very safe, even with security camera. As a woman you feel in good hands. Staff super friendly!!! I've been there twice and will definitely be back! 👍

The service was fantastic. I booked a Room for 3 people but they made a mistake and had given us a room for two people, after taking with the nice lady at the reception I was given a free room for the last person as we only were staying for one night. The breakfast was amazing and there was lots of choices. The only problem we had was when we were trying to leave the parking lot, the machine to pay for parking was somewhat hard to find as it was not located in the parking garage and it also only took cash in coins or small bills. But overall I would definitely visit the hotel again.
