We spent a long weekend in the hotel. The room was very large, newly renovated and without carpet, right next to the dog park, which was great for our puppy. The fact that a hiking trail starts directly behind the hotel is also a great advantage. The breakfast was rich and there was something for everyone. The wellness area was completely sufficient. All the employees were very nice and accommodating. We'd love to come back.

We had a very nice time here. Nothing was left to be desired. The rooms are very neat and clean. The service staff was simply great. The breakfast is varied (also look left, right and behind the buffet) and the coffee machine is really great. The place has several restaurants and shopping opportunities.

The Hotel Schneider was the end point of our section of the Ruhrhöhenweg (source to Neheim). Our room on the 2nd floor was great and very spacious (couch, armchair and very large wardrobe). The price of 110 euros for the double room is really good, only the price for the good but normal hotel breakfast of 18 euros per person. surprised us a little.Dinner is usually not possible in the hotel, but there is a large selection in the immediate area (we went to the 'Kartoffelkiste'). If there are more than 2 travelers, we recommend making a reservation in advance.Parking is possible behind the hotel, but you should inquire by phone in advance. Otherwise, street parking is possible (charges apply from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays).

Unfortunately very disappointing stay...Were guests at the Komfort Hotel for one night on January 5th, 2019. (2 people)Among the positive aspects of the hotel:It is clean and tidy, but you would expect this even with an overnight stay of €115 per day.Unfortunately the kitchen door is always open, so the whole house smells like food, even in the rooms. The receptionist was friendly, but she didn't seem to be on her toes. Unfortunately, you have to pull all the information out of the lady's nose, like with the question of the WiFi password. It would also have been desirable to inform us at the start of the stay that the “sauna area” can only be used from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. by appointment (at least one hour in advance). So we couldn't use the sauna at 7:20 p.m.We were then recommended the infrared cabin, but unfortunately we discovered that it was defective. After we were told three times insistently that the cabin was working, we accidentally overheard a conversation in which the landlady said to the innkeeper, cursing, "Shit, it's broken."The complaint was also unsuccessful, and we were not offered an alternative when we asked, but was simply ignored. ...Doesn't exactly reflect thatComfort hotel...The free parking lot sounds very promising at first, but it is constantly occupied and you don't have the pleasure of parking in the yard at all. However, you are allowed to park in front of the hotel for a fee from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., provided you ignore the absolute no-parking sign from 2:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Here too, anything but comfortable...Not recommended for the price.

The Hotel Schneider is located in the center of Winterberg on the main street. There are a few restaurants in the immediate vicinity that invite you to stop off.Our room was very clean and neatly furnished. What we particularly liked was that there is no carpet but a matching wooden floor. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All in all a nice stay and definitely recommended. Many thanks to the team at Hotel Schneider.

We stayed at the Hotel Schneider for a few days last weekend. We and our 2 dogs received a very friendly and warm welcome in the family-run hotel and felt very comfortable straight away.We were also offered direct help with planning activities and information material about the region. The room was very nice and tastefully decorated and very clean. The location was also very quiet and invited you to relax.Since we had booked with breakfast, we were able to help ourselves to the rich and extensive buffet in the morning. There was everything your heart could desire and the service was really on point. As soon as something ran low, it was immediately replenished with fresh products. The wellness and sports area is also small but nice, very clean and a place to relax or keep fit.We (including our dogs) felt so comfortable in these few relaxing days that we have already made a reservation for next year. But we think we'll book again beforehand for a few relaxing days.

Absolute recommendation. Super nice staff, very accommodating and helpful.Room was great and of course clean. Check in only from 3 p.m., but we were able to check in at 12 p.m.It's about a 5 minute walk to the city center, everything else such as: the St.Georg Schanze can also be reached on foot in a few minutes.Definitely coming back :)
