Rooms unclean in many places and broken coffee machine. This was not resolved or apologized for even after we asked. Super expensive parking and extra charge for pool and fitness. Some of the staff were incredibly unfriendly and one cleaner even bumped into me.

Promising hotel upon arrival but unfortunately the opposite is true.Booked a family room with an extra bed which was not present upon arrival. Brought to the very unsanitary room by an extremely unfriendly person where the temperature was reminiscent of a crematorium. Couldn't open a window and the air conditioning didn't work either. Immediately asked for an upgrade and ended up on the 9th floor. Fortunately, a window could be opened here and the rancid carpeting has been replaced by a laminate floor. Unfortunately, here too there is no working air conditioning and a musty bathroom that smells like sewer. In short, in terms of price, almost 700,- for 3 nights excluding parking, 30,- per night is really ridiculous. This is far from realistic. Location in relation to shops and sights is good. It is located on a busy road, but you should know that before you book. All in all, unfortunately not recommended for this price and next time we will choose a slightly smaller and cozy German hotel.

I sometimes see Japanese staff, and the location is good, and the breakfast is delicious, but...the towels had an incredible smell. I don't think the person in charge would have noticed, but when I realized that this is a hotel that provides service with that kind of spirit, I no longer feel any emotion. *I don't think I would ever book and stay here myself. Unless you really want to drink miso soup.

Booked a Junior Suite for 225 euros. Great price if everything is correct. The room was 24 degrees and the air conditioning did not work. Would someone come, no one was seen. Called again and suddenly there was no technical service available on Saturday. 2 fans were supposed to be brought, but that did not happen. Toilet seat broken, sink drain does not drain. Shower water changes from cold to burn mode every 5 seconds. But no technical service available on Saturdays. Breakfast was good, but hair in glasses and dirty cutlery was disappointing. And every time you went to get new food, whatever you had left on your table was cleared away (including your cutlery). In short, not a very good experience.

I stayed at the Clayton for six nights while traveling for work. I’ve been to Düsseldorf many times. This was my first stay here and I will definitely be back. The location is perfect, very close to the metro and walking distance to Altstadt. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The staff were all very pleasant to work with.I loved the cocktail bar in the main lobby, great for entertaining clients. With a very good selection to choose from and a very friendly bartender willing to offer suggestions. The room was quiet. I have issues sleeping, but I had no issues here as it was not noisy. The size of the rooms and bathroom is slightly small, but perfect for what I needed. The only negative that I have is that there is not a café in the lobby, I walked about a block away each morning to get my latte, which was not a huge deal.

Hotel is ok but the elevators are horrible and way too little. Causing dangerous situations. Closing off emergency exits is a very big no no! I think it's even illigal.

Nice hotel with a great swimming pool, a recommendation! Great team, great food, unfortunately the Japanese portion was a bit small. Great location, there are many Japanese restaurants opposite the hotel.
