Was there as a DJ at a wedding.The food was extremely good,just as you would expect from the Schlichte Hof. The finger food beforehand was a highlight in itself.Nice staff and nice boss.Everything just fit.I will definitely go and have something to eat there privately.

When it comes to indulging in culinary delights, we have always felt that we are in the right place here.We crowned every special event in our lives with a meal there.So we recently treated ourselves to a “dinner for two”. The meal was an experience...But why a restriction this time?Because the service unfortunately didn't satisfy us at all and doesn't fit the standards of this hotel.Of course, after each course the service employee asked us whether we were satisfied. We were...very. But the employee looked at other tables or other guests every time. We didn't have his attention in any way. It seemed like he was even listening, let alone interested in the answer.During the course of the evening, the head of the house also appeared in the guest room and interacted with the guests. Sometimes with a bottle of white wine, which he poured out to other guests. Always deep in conversation. At the table next to us, at the table behind and in front of us. A nice gesture.A good sign that the boss is also present.However, here too we were completely ignored.At this point too we felt like second class guests.It's a shame because we had another special occasion to celebrate, we preferred this restaurant and felt we were treated very unequally compared to other guests. If a boss goes from table to table in the dining room, then in my opinion he shouldn't leave out any guests.

Great restaurant. Been there twice (admittedly invited), the menu was very attractive and the dishes were cleverly chosen so that almost everyone would find something. Of course, a lot of other things are also possible upon request. Just the separate children's menu in a great design (not designed as a comic or something similar)!Great desserts! Service very good. We'll be back (also on our own account)!

The Schlichte Hof is simply a jewel in Bielefeld! The charming atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious cuisine make every visit an unforgettable experience. The traditional dishes are largely freshly prepared and taste simply great. I was particularly impressed by the cozy interior, which creates a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing evening with friends or family. I can fully recommend the Schlichte Hof and am already looking forward to my next visit

The food was once again terrific. I want to focus exclusively on the exquisite service. From the booking, the question about the table, to the greeting / the cloakroom and throughout the entire evening.The questions about the menu are answered competently, the sense of proportion when it comes to the drinks, the explanations of the courses - very good. Always very nice and helpful.You can notice a good working atmosphere right down to the last detail.Worth every EUR tip.Again any time.

We went to the Schlichte Hof on a Sunday evening (6:30 p.m.) because of the four-course menu with wine accompaniment offered on the menu and were really disappointed.The food is well-crafted, but uninspired and without individual notes. In no course did the kitchen dare to experiment or develop a special idea, as I would expect with a menu costing almost 100 EUR.However, what struck us as particularly negative was the service. Just being greeted with an already annoyed “What?” suggested that one is not welcome here. In 45 minutes, three courses were served at a pace that sometimes left the previous course not quite finished. We consistently felt that the service perceived us as a disturbing foreign body. The "wine trip" offered with the menu could have made us suspicious because the price was too low, so the wines remained without any explanation and were sometimes unsuitable for the courses. So it wasn't particularly noticeable that no individual contact was sought apart from memorized sayings.I also find it inappropriate for service staff to drink alcoholic drinks even at the bar during service.I can understand the consistently positive reactions. As I said, the cuisine is down-to-earth and well-crafted, but you should avoid offering a menu.

If you don't value a friendly greeting, good service and eye contact, you could hit the jackpot at the Schlichte-Hof. At least if the four-course surprise menu and wine accompaniment are ordered on a Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m.Then it could be that the third course is on the table after a good hour, the wine, which was served quickly and without further information, cannot be enjoyed in peace and that when you ask for a break you are left with a time slot (preferably ten minutes ) should decide. That's how we experienced this evening, which unfortunately wasn't convincing due to the well-crafted food, which was hardly surprising in terms of taste.

It was outstanding!First the Negroni as an aperitif - great way to start!The bread with butter and horseradish flavored with lime - great!The greeting from the kitchen - Parmesan soup and mustard egg - the soup in the test tube and the egg as cream in the opened bowl - both super tasty, very delicately seasoned - great!The pumpkin cream soup with pumpkin seeds and pumpkin flesh (?) was so great - with a slight crunch from the seeds, flavored with ginger and pumpkin seed oil - never eaten like this before...The pasta with truffle was very, very tasty! Perfect bite, great seasoning and the truffles shaved on top at the table - food of the highest class!The duck with red cabbage and dumplings was also great in terms of taste and the duck meat! Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside - perfect. The red cabbage was also very tasty and not too overpoweringly seasoned. The dumplings were a bit firm for our taste, but the taste was okay.The steak from grass-fed beef with a herb crust in medium rare - I didn't really understand why it came with a steak knife - so tender! It melted in your mouth - amazing!Plus delicious truffle fries - a very good combination. The vegetables underneath the steak were very finely sliced, the bite was perfect - a complete success!Plus a very tasty Primitivo as a recommendation - very harmonious and tasty.The waitresses, the friendliness, always smiling, attentive - perfect service, the way you want it...We'll be back - and with great pleasure!Mr. Kampmann knows how good cooking works in his great Westphalian house!

The Schlichtehof is located on the B68 in the Quelle district and is easily accessible. The historic half-timbered house is stylishly decorated and invites you to linger and feel good in its natural charm. The quality of chef Bernhard Kampmann's Westphalian and international dishes is excellent and unparalleled in OWL. The service staff are very accommodating and extremely friendly. A big compliment to the entire team. A visit is always worthwhile. Therefore 5 stars.

The Schlichte Hof is beautifully decorated and the food was fantastic. There is something for everyone and the service was super fast and really nice. You really felt good and the food felt like a dream. The well-selected wines also went well with the respective meal and were super tasty. All in all, the Schlichte Hof is at star level and has a top price-performance ratio.Gladly again!

The Simple Court:One can only argue about whether it is the best restaurant within a 300km or 500km radius. The service, the atmosphere and the food are Champions League. The entire restaurant is at a star level and the price-performance ratio is reasonable. Gladly again and again.
