We ate here for lunch on a bike ride on a Sunday in October. The menu offers Thuringian home-style cuisine (meat and dumplings). The dishes are tasty and regionally prepared. The price-performance ratio is reasonable. The service was nice and professional. Well fortified, we continued our tour.P.S.: The quiet places here are very chic.

We suddenly found ourselves standing in front of the door on the Markt, after our chosen restaurant had a party evening. We received a pleasant welcome here, attractive surroundings, but above all we had a delicious meal, with the two of us each having a different main course. Fine.

I was in the restaurant and ordered hearty goulash with red cabbage and Thuringian dumplings. The conclusion is that everything comes from a can and is absolutely bland in terms of taste. Hearty goulash should be braised and not boiled at first. In addition, the waitress didn't hear any pleasantries or friendliness. When I answered what the food was like, I of course gave an honest answer that 18.50 euros for canned food wasn't exactly justified and the dumplings weren't quite ready but were 3/4 soggy, so they wanted to let me know that 2 different types are therefore half and half. But for me that doesn't mean at all that 70% of the dumplings are powerful. Apart from that, if you're not from the area but from Hamburg like me, the reception is more than unfriendly. Tip from me, be a little friendlier to strangers as there might be a bit more going on than just 1 couple other than me there to eat.

I will not enter this house again. My wife and I had the nerve to enter with our dog. We were expelled from the house in a stupid and unfriendly manner. If this young girl had first said hello to me, asked what I wanted and told me normally that dogs were not welcome, I would have understood. We just wanted some ice cream to take away. Unfortunately, German hospitality is known for this kind of reception. You immediately feel welcome at Italian or Greek restaurants.

Very nice hotel right on the market square. Very well equipped room with all the little things you would appreciate as a traveler, including a kettle and coffee. Great breakfast. Particularly noteworthy is the Thuringian hospitality that we were able to experience.

You can't and don't need to say much about the hotel. What deserves special mention is the nice and attentive lady in service on Wednesday afternoon/evening.Thanks again for the two 1 euro pieces for the bike boxes.I gave the 2 euros back when checking out. I hope you've come back to the right place

As business travelers we were warmly welcomed by the landlady. Even though it was a day off, we received excellent hospitality in the evening and the generous breakfast was served with a lot of love.Thank you very much

Lovingly renovated half-timbered house in a central location on the historic market! Very friendly welcome - with sparkling wine! The room has very comfortable beds, sophisticated lighting and a huge flat screen TV. Everything is very modern and furnished in an ancient historic building. Attention was paid to every little detail here, very nice. There was a lot of knocking here, not a mess. Unfortunately we were probably the only guests this rainy summer (end of 7/23)... Ok, the prices are not for cyclists who have to pay attention to every cent and otherwise a.d. Stay overnight at the campsite. The breakfast could have been a little more extensive for the price, but since I rarely eat breakfast anyway, it was completely ok for me. The menu was very tasty and also sufficient. We felt comfortable and would come back. Full marks from me. I wish the nice owner much success and all the best!!

We went there for coffee and the owner was very unfriendly. Since there was nothing else open, we had dinner there. Unfortunately, she wasn't much friendlier. The prices were hopelessly excessive. 20.50 euros for a roulade is steep. There were no other guests there.

Actually, I would like to thank the city administration for the impudent answer from the waitress (all the outside tables were occupied and we wanted to sit opposite the fountain and treat ourselves to coffee, cake and ice cream) when we sat there on the bench Order Creuzburg!!! It's really not possible. I haven't experienced so much customer unfriendliness in a long time!!! Apparently you don't need customers and their money. You definitely won't see us here again.

On the way from Eschwege to Eisenach we passed the “Alte Posthalterei” in the Creuzburg office. After four hours of driving in the constant rain, we spontaneously decided to stop for coffee and enjoy delicious cake, which was by no means skimpy. Just the thing for “hypoglycemic” cyclists. There was also an aromatic coffee. We were also served very courteously. I can highly recommend the “Alte Posthalterei” as a stopover.

As a trained restaurateur, I have to say it was rather disappointing. A buffet was offered, which was carelessly prepared. Hot dishes were tasteless and mostly overcooked. Salmon offered was no longer available when we arrived at 12:30. Salads were soggy and swimming in sauce. Wine glasses were cleared away before the aperitif without asking. Service was ok but didn't leave a lasting impression on anyone. Def last visit, there is better in Creuzburg.

Passed by by chance on the way and stopped. It's comfortable to sit in and the service is very friendly and attentive. The food, whether meat or fish, is very tasty and comes freshly prepared and hot to the table. I was particularly surprised by the grilled knuckle. Wonderfully tender on the inside and juicy on the outside, super crispy. Big praise for that. You can only get something like this by pre-ordering!The price-performance ratio is absolutely OK and the portions are also something for those who are very hungry.Stop by there and enjoy it. We'll definitely be back.

I hereby rate the restaurant. Café might be ok. But making a soup completely different than what is on the menu and then using meat instead of vegetarian is not possible. The quality of the soup was poor and I had to leave it untouched. Vegans/vegetarians: beware of this restaurant! Also unfriendly service. The prices are outrageous for these portions, a tourist rip-off.

The hotel with restaurant (with limited selection) would in principle be worth a recommendation for cyclists.but 145 euros for a double room for single use in a country hotel is simply ridiculous.But in the evening, after 100 km over the mountains, I was too lazy to continue driving... (they probably knew that too...)Spontaneity when looking for a room also has disadvantages when cycling in the eveningThis was by far the most expensive place I stayed on my Werra-Weser bike tour, but not the best...
