Approx. 10 minutes walk from the lake (+|- 800m)There are plenty of free parking spaces at the hotel. Reception at reception friendly. Rooms correspond to the hotel category. Were clean, free bottle of mineral water. There was plenty of choice in the breakfast buffet: homemade jams! Fresh fruit. ... sausage, eggs, cheese, fresh vegetables

I went to the Hotel Mutzel with my two children (2 and 7 years old) and a friend who also had two children with her (6 and 8 years old). We each booked a double room. As soon as we arrived, our eyes widened that we were two adults with 4 children in our luggage. This became clear from the instruction that the little one was not allowed to enter the wellness area and that the other children were not allowed to enter either, since they were are per se too loud anyway. In the room's "house rules" it was stated that the wellness area was only allowed for ages 5 and up. A corresponding note on the homepage would have been very helpful. Our children were also very kindly rewarded with an annoyed snort and/or eye roll for behaving like children and not like little soldiers. The perfect end to our stay was the farewell with the information that we had been very difficult guests since our arrival. Therefore, I would like to apologize for asking whether the ventilation in the toilet was not working, as I was met with an unpleasant smell when I arrived and opened the toilet door. Apparently I was just imagining this because it was made clear to me that the house had central, noiseless ventilation. Luckily I didn't have to ask any questions because this wouldn't have been possible if the lady at reception had immediately turned around and run away. For this I would like to thank the nice cleaning staff who greeted me and my children in a friendly manner in the morning and showed me that there are even polite staff in this hotel.

We, 4 people, stayed in the beautiful Hotel Mutzel for 13 days. Our rooms, 303+304, were very well furnished and extremely clean. The breakfast was very plentiful, especially a lot of fruit. We had a wonderful holiday, thank you very much.Haymo Kirst, Dresden

Sad but true. The first impression is a sign that says: The restaurant is closed until further notice - The management. The answer to the rhetorical question as to whether that was actually the case was only answered with “yes”. In principle, this also corresponds to the further “service” of the following period (3 nights for around 500 euros). Rooms very spartan. Small toilet pressed into a triangle, no towel holder, no soap. Bathroom at least with soap, towels and hairdryer. Almost no storage space. Minibar sparse (beer e.g. a bottle 0.33 for 2 people). Breakfast dry baked rolls, terrible filter coffee from a large barrel that you can tap yourself. But we didn't even make sure that something was available until the end of breakfast time (it was empty 30 minutes before the end). After all, you get a 1.5 cup pot of brew for two people. The packaged sausage is also only refilled sporadically. All in all, you get the impression -> services are on the back burner, but they are making a lot of money. The maid was the friendliest person in the house!PS to the answer from the hotel:So, it was the weather that caused the rating to be this way. It's just strange that others in town received consistently positive feedback from me. (La Piazza, Slainte, Ship).

The room and breakfast were fine.We slept here one night. It gives the impression that there is a big difference between whether you are a nice guest who might come back again or whether you are "just" a guest passing through. Energy is only invested in kindness if it is worth it.I wouldn't stay here again.

Restaurant is closed. Reception very unfriendlyBreakfast from 8 to 10 is the same every day. When you arrive at half past ten you will be informed that you have to make coffee first. We then got 1 1/2 cups out of kindness for the two of us

Nice, clean accommodation. Breakfast good.Low stress tolerance. The guest card is not handed out with the key upon arrival; you must request it in order to receive the discounts in the Upper Black Forest. The day of arrival and departure count as one day.
