Small, manageable hotel with charm, extremely nice, helpful and attentive staff - a pleasant, even familiar atmosphere. Very tasty breakfast buffet prepared with love! Clean rooms with a conscientious “cleaning fairy”.Short connection to the “city center”. Good access to local restaurants. Centrally located for various leisure activities.

A very quiet place. The journey to Waldshut took about 15 minutes. Nice personel. It was clean everywhere. The WiFi wasn't the most stable for working, but that had to be due to the change in the line. The internet was changed during my stay.The breakfast was very good. There were enough parking spaces in front of the house. I will certainly come back again

During my motorcycle tour I (unfortunately) only stayed at the Hotel Fernblick for one night. The reception in the evening was very warm and really pleasant. The room was very nice and above all very clean. The next morning I was able to have breakfast much earlier than usual because I wanted to leave early. The entire staff was very, very friendly and concerned about the well-being of the guests. On a scale of 1 to 10, the Hotel Fernblick gets 11 points from me. It is highly recommended.

Arrival and departure worked perfectly.The service is good.The rooms are functionally furnished and correspond to the category.The bathroom is a bit small and the windows are a bit old.The breakfast is excellent and rich.The price is slightly higher than usual.There is a refrigerator next to the breakfast room for a little hunger in between meals or in the evening.

We were escaping the noise of fireworks at home for the first time and were looking for a cheap deal within a short driving distance. We found what we were looking for at the Portens Hotel Fernblick and were able to enjoy four wonderful days here! When we registered, our dogs were greeted with a dog snack and we humans also received a warm welcome.The breakfast buffet is a dream - I think you can find everything your stomach desires here! The rooms are rather small but it's enough for a short vacation. The only thing that makes you a bit sad is that the hotel couldn't offer half board...Höchenwald is a quiet (!) village with everything you need. The village shop is quite large and has a good range. You can be on a hiking route in no time and the restaurants are also recommended. We (four adults, one child and two large dogs) were welcome everywhere, even though it was swarming with Swiss people with dogs over the weekend.

Clean, nice rooms with all the necessary equipment (hairdryer, WiFi, TV, toiletries in the bathroom, water and fruit in the room). The staff is extremely friendly and provides helpful information about everything important. The breakfast buffet is rich and offers enough variety. From the hotel you can easily reach beautiful hiking trails and a pizzeria on foot. There were enough parking spaces directly in front of the hotel.

Friendly staff and adequate breakfast. Unfortunately, our room 54 was small, just like the bathroom, and furnished with older furniture. It was right next to the boiler room and wasn't exactly silent. Otherwise everything was neat and very clean.

Very pleasing, exactly as expected.The building is not the most modern, but the rooms are timeless, impeccable and very clean - nothing is missing. It is located in a quiet residential area, just a few minutes' walk from the center. Everything important (small shop, banks, pharmacy, etc.) is within walking distance.I was always greeted at the hotel by friendly and helpful staff who left nothing to be desired.There is something for everyone at breakfast, from healthy to hearty.The optional half board with three-course menu is not in the hotel (a few minutes' walk or drive away), but it is a real insider tip! Decent portions and everything freshly prepared.Clear recommendation, I look forward to seeing you again.

Highly recommended for us...Starting with the telephone booking, where we were informed in a very friendly manner, a very warm and friendly welcome, and above all the ladies are also fond of animals, no problem like in other hotels where four-legged friends are only reluctantly tolerated, no, here you will be welcomed just as warmly as the mistresses and masters...Simply great.....Overall, the hotel makes a very clean, friendly and very pretty impression, the rooms are perfectly clean, the view... fantastically beautiful, the view of the Alps in the morning, simply brilliant....Very rich breakfast, nothing is missing, they also pay attention to healthy eating and organic.....that's what the Porton family is also known for.....Highly recommended for those who want to take advantage of the 3-course menu in the Georg Klause, the chef Harald is simply great and the menus are rich and delicious....Everything was fine, we will always come backGreetings from the Schöps family

Very nice staff, great breakfast, rooms are well maintained, unfortunately the WiFi quality is not good and if you are on Mondays all week, it is very important for communication with the family.
