The room and shared bathrooms were clean.Messages from staff beforehand were very passive aggressive. Self check-in, not much service at all.Expensive for a small room without a bathroom but it was during the Euros.

It's a nice and clean hostel. Shared bathrooms are absolutely fine, and mostly also clean, however the light in the shower turns off every 2 minutes, making it trickier to use (you need to step out every now and then to activate the sensor). I appreciate the elevator in the building, and the kettle in the room, which is otherwise very sparingly equipped, but it didn't bother me. Works for a short stay.The hostel can get very warm in summer, being located on the top floor. Also, it is on the pricier side, taking into account the type of the accommodation and added comfort, but I guess it's due to convenient location.The location is pretty central, the main train station is easily reachable, but otherwise nothing is happening over here.

Good price but you get what U pay for.The room was tiny and the walls paper thin. You hear people talking in the neighbouring room, even though they use normal tone of voice.The light in the women's shower went out when you used the shower . Had to walk out to activate the sensor again. The drainage was also blocked in one of the showers and the floor was therefore flooded.No bin in the lady's toilet for pads and similar.The rest was alright.

The pris was too high for the quality.It was +80€ while I was in a four star hotel the nights before for 130€.I stayed here because my trip plan changed and had to stay near the train station.The room and toilet was clean which I think is the most important thing.

I stayed in Hostel City Süd in Hammerbrook Hamburg for three Weeks and it was comfortable, clean, very secure, silent and also near two Bahn stations. Outstanding concierge. They were also punctual with delivery of keys and further info. Strongly recommended

A cheap place to stay in Hamburg, clean, comfortable and not to far away from the city center! A quiet zone in which yo can stay with near access to S-Bahn (no kore than 6 minutes). A great value for money. I would have given 5 stars if it had had a shared kitchen to use :)

Clean, but basic. The area is an office district and deserted at night and the hostel itself is on one floor of an office building. The parking is on-street, and I wasn't particularly comfortable leaving a rental car outside there overnight. I would look elsewhere for a stay in Hamburg.
