I had made a reservation to go to the hotel. However, I had to cancel my trip because my visa application was not finalized. However, the hotel did not help at all with the cancellation of the reservation and wanted to collect the full fee. My hotel in the other city sadly canceled my reservation. This hotel does not care about customer satisfaction, they only care about money.

Overall great experience! The room looked brand new, very clean. Very friendly service. Don’t get the very negative comments about the location. It might not be the friendliest neighborhood of all Hamburg but it’s very central and even during the night we felt pretty safe there.There were a few minor issues. The shower is build in a way that makes it impossible to not flood half the bathroom floor. And I felt like I heard my upstairs neighbors a bit too well. But nothing major, so overall a solid 4 starts

We stayed with two adults and one 1 year old baby. Since we were leaving very early on the second morning, we did not choose a room with breakfast, we bought breakfast for 1 morning at the hotel for a 2-day stay. They charged 20 Euros for adults and 10 Euros for 1 year old babies. Nowhere in the world is a 1 year old baby charged for accommodation/breakfast, this is greed. Also, although the hotel looks very close to the train station, you have to pass through dangerous communities on the streets at night to get to the train station. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Spent 3 nights there (1st July 2024):Pros:- nice staff, i think one even offered to lend us an umbrella when it was raining heavily- modern, clean, and comfy room- blackout curtains- tv was big and had youtube+netflix- nice lobby for chilling with a bar, tv u can control, and a table football table- got a free drink for skipping the daily cleaning- nice cocktail selection in the bar- location is near central station+undergroundsCons:- air con was there but it wouldn't turn on for some reason. Seemed broken but we didn't report it as it wasn't too hot- no fridge in room- bathroom floor was hard to keep dry due to the shower basin- location is quite boring and felt a bit dodgy the closer u get to the central station e.g drunks/addicts

Short walk from the main station. Supermarket nearby and comfy rooms. We did have a dog barking next door but it did stop after a while.

Definitely overpriced hotel. As to be honest almost everything in Hamburg. You will definitely meet homeless and drug-addicted people in the area, which is not fault of the hotel of course, but how can it cost 170 eur per night then? Without even breakfast and parking… pricing policy should be adjusted.

It’s located near a ghetto. So it was not a good experience reaching there. I couldn’t sleep all night because of weird noises from the next room or whatever that was and from above. Next day taking a bath was miserable. The bathroom is not good, you will end up wetting the entire floor. It’s a mess! More over no complimentary breakfast. The housekeeping was good, they replaced all towels and other stuff and cleaned the washroom while I was gone. Overall, I don’t think I’ll stay there again.

All in all a pleasant stay at THE SCOTTIES - thanks to attentive and friendly service.Modern and new established hotel centrally located only ten minutes walk to the main station. City center is around 15-18 minutes walk. Surrounded area is not ‚beautiful‘ since it is a typical central station area (st George) but I did not expect any green parks. It is more important to have a connection to metro (Berliner Tor U Bahn Station vier Minuten entfernt).Some areas are still not finished as gym - hope they get this done as soon as possible since it is announced on their homepage.Especially to be mentioned is their efforts to provide some vegan options when I asked for it - they came with avocado creation and vegetable based toppings. When they integrate this items ore announce them to be prepared when demanded, I would recommend this hotel also for vegans!The room was clean and modern but I wished they had a fridge or some integrated USB plug ins.

Clean but very noisy. Close to a main road. Dj lounge music during breakfast. Staff picking up service while you are eating, but not when you are at the buffet as it should be.

First, great friendly staff.The location itself is fine, it is near a supermarket for snacks. Unfortunately the city has a major homeless problem, and by the looks of things the city appears not to care about helping these humans.... The area between the hotel and Hauptbahnhof, in particular August-Bebel-Park and the bus station, is where the city seems to corral and ignore their citizens who are most in need of help. There is a lot of drug use and polite people asking for change, but there were plenty of police so it was safe.The hotel room was big, with two singles pushed together as a double. The bed was hard but ok, unfortunately the pillows were flat, even folded and stacked my neck hurt each morning. The TV was good with the ability to cast, no lag from streaming. The shower was strong, but with one side open it resulted in the bathroom turning into a paddle pool, the water didn't drain quickly enough. No mini fridge or tea / coffee in the room. Small safe in the room. Two free small bottles of water on first night.Their website mentions a gym which doesn't exist and restaurant which only does breakfast and lunch.I really wanted to like this place but the pillows annoyed me the most.
