3 nights in HI Hamburg. Room is great with good views of the harbour, night time views are amazing. Has moved from Holiday Inn brand recently but still good quality. Staff at bar are great especially Bakr and Raberzanahary… thanks guys … see you next time

Summary - try to avoid unless you have to be this area. Location is soso but a ways away from town. Service was great. Restaurant is open only 2 hours a day with few choices near by. The rooms are 10 years over due for a renovation. Mattress should be replaced. Everything was clean other than the pink and black mold in the bathroom. The bar needs a lot of help and money invested into it. It doesn't feel like a bar and somehow comes off as cheap, but it a bad way and the lights are far too bright. Music choice was very corporate. Breakfast was yeah, hotel breakfast. At 22€ it is something you should get if you're not paying for it. I would say the staff is all great but unfortunately they are let down by ownership does does not reinvest in the property.

The staff are friendly, the property and the furnishings in the rooms (including the carpets) are quite old and could be described as somewhat worn. However, the rooms are clean, which is the most important aspect. The underground car park is very narrow and can be a challenge to navigate when full. Breakfast is good, but a little on the expensive side. The location of the property is mediocre, but access to public transport - bus, U and S-Bahn stations are within a short walk.

I have stayed in various holiday INN, however was dissatisfied by my stay here. Below are few reasons for my experience:1. Hotel staff(cleaning, water delivery) came inside the room without knowledge of us inside the room. Somehow the hotel rooms is missing a way to know if guests are inside the room, so staff came in few times while we were sleeping, bathing etc.2. We were shocked to know that in room dinning is not available and also the menu was not available in the rooms. We were asked to visit restaurant which is also open for few hours in morning and few hours in night. Staff managing restaurant were slightly rude.3. Bathroom contains only bath tub and missing bath mats. So if you prefer to stand and bath, be prepared to bath while slipping around in the tub.4. Hotel location is great, if you plan to use cabs/taxis. Public transport connectivity is less, especially on Sundays.5. Hotel room keys loose access every night. So mostly we need to visit reception every day to reactivate our cards.

4 stars for location because the exciting parts of the city are easily accessible by frequent bus that stops nearby, and the area is appropriately safe, accessible, and convenient for those with cars (who can find free street parking nearby, often a challenge in Hamburg). But you will need that bus, as the neighborhood does not itself have exciting things or restaurants.I've stayed several times and had good experiences. Nice views and I get good space for working in my rooms.

Just an average hotel. The rooms were very warm. We tried to adjust the air conditioner but it only went so far. Otherwise, most of the amenities of the hotel were closed for the day. Front staff was helpful. The location is very good if you were taking a cruise

Overall a great experience, we went there as group of six friends and booked two premium triple room. Rooms were great for the money we paid. It was big and spacious. Breakfast was great as well, we loved the spread. It was healthy as well covering wide varieties of eggs and museli. Only downside was that A/C was not cooling the room as expected. Otherwise rest everything was great about the hotel.

Rooms are getting old. The furniture and the mattresses should be renewed. Staff and rest of the facilities great.
Location OK if you want to go that area, or can reach the s or u Bahn close to the hotel.

Beds not that comfortable, rooms are very basic.Breakfast was fine, better than a lot of places but nothing special.Staff were very friendly and helpful, so that's a high point.Location is poor, fine as a place to sleep while on a business trip, but it's far from the city center and not near good transport links so getting into the city in a reasonable smount of time requires a car. There's one small supermarket in walking distance.
