Had the pleasure of attending a Holy Communion celebration here at the Saaletal-Stuben a few weeks ago and it was simply delightful. This gem of a hotel is neatly nestled on the banks of the river Saale and languishes peacefully in its picturesque environs. The luncheon was held in a function room adjacent to the main restaurant; the room was spacious, bright and airy—framed with rows of windows which diffused an ample supply of natural light. The food was excellent across the board, with the meal commencing with a delicious liver dumpling soup. For mains, I chose a traditional dish which consisted of tender beef cuts on a bed of noodles topped off with a fresh and zingy horseradish cream sauce. Also noteworthy, was the staff, all very agreeable and highly efficient. The delivery of service was exemplary, with drink orders and any other miscellaneous requests, fulfilled within minutes. All in all, a superb dining experience!

We very much enjoyed staying and eating at this lovely hotel tucked away in Michelau, next to the River Saale. The room was comfortable and clean with a good bed. The only downside was the noise of adjacent bathrooms (gurgling showers and flushing toilets). We ate in the Restaurant which served mainly traditional Bavarian fayre; the Schnitzel I ate was delicious 😋.The Staff were friendly and helpful.Check out the special offers on their website too !I definitely recommend it.

This was the highlight of our stay in Germany. After days of touristy walking around Berlin, Regensburg, and elsewhere, we found this little gem of a place as we headed back North towards the ferry. It's a bit off the beaten track but well worth the thirty minute drive from the autobahn to get to. Four adults stayed in two double rooms. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped. Kettles available in the corridor to take into your room along with mini bar and snacks. Make sure you go on a night when the restaurant is open (closed Monday Tuesday) because the food we had was out of this world and very well priced. We both had schnitzel, roast potatoes side salad pudding and drinks and the bill came to 55 euros. The hotel sits next to a beautiful babbling stream so if you feel the need to walk off the pudding afterwards you can walk to your heart's content. Breakfast in the morning was also great with fresh brötchen, cereals, meat cheese, muffins, muesli, yoghurt and egg done exactly how you want it. Phone signal is poor (your are in a valley surrounded by trees) and some of us struggled to connect to the wlan but once on it the signal was good enough to watch videos on. This year we travelled in car but next year we are planning to go to Germany on the motorbike and this place will definitely get pre booked so as not to avoid disappointment!!

Excellent structure surrounded by greenery, the environment is very peaceful and quiet. Modest but clean room for two, comfortable beds, tea and coffee maker, bathroom with everything you need, balcony with chairs and table. Breakfast varied and very good. Overall, an excellent property for spending a few nights' holiday in nature in total tranquility.

Visit to the restaurant, even after 30 minutes the waitress didn't come to our table!! Guests came all around and were all served! After 45 minutes of waiting in vain, we left hungry and thirsty. …

We celebrated our wedding in the Saaletalstuben at the weekend. We had 60 guests. Everyone was excited. All wishes and concerns were 100% fulfilled. The food was excellent. The service was very friendly and quick...despite the long walk (we had a tent on the meadow opposite). Some of the guests stayed overnight there. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet offered everything you need for a good breakfast.Dear Marcel, dear Lea, thanks to you and your great team, we had a wonderful wedding.10000 stars for you 👌🏼🫶🏼Anni+Thomas
