Five stars is not enough for this place. A charming, charming old school hotel. It has THE LOVLIEST STAFF/OWNERS!!! They are so warm and welcoming. The breakfast is lavish and organic. Sustainability is being taking seriously here.If I ever come this way again, I'll stay here again.

We were there 3 days, such an amazing hotel! New bathroom, big sleeping room, and the atmosphere ist just like in the pictures. I told my husband it was like being in a fancy hotel of the 20s. The place is run by a family who is so friendly that we will probably come back here next time we are around. So if you like hotels that have their own atmosphere, this one is for you :)

Quite a cutesy fairyland restaurant with mermaids and ships, anchor and steering wheel, lots of beautiful wood carvings and even seating in an old wine barrel. Loved the food as well as the wine tasting! Loved the experience - not to be missed if you are aromantic at heart!

Lovely hotel! The innkeepers were the best—very friendly and offered tea in the afternoons. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, styled like the 1930s. The breakfast was also great . Would start again if we’re in the area!

My wife and I spent an evening in one of their barrel rooms "Fasshotel" situated on the banks of the Rhein. Check in was very easy and was done in the restaurant right next to the barrels. The room was very small but very clean. …

Thanks a lot to the owners who opened up just for us when we were hiking the "Rheinsteig". Very comfortable and quite rooms. We had a great chat with Matthias (hope that is correct), who did recommend us some hiking view points in the area. The home made bread is very good and we took some as lunch, double the pleasure. Be sure to visit this hotel, it's a blast!

We spent 5 days in this hotel which was situated directly on the river Rhein. Our balcony had uninterrupted views to the river; which was very busy with all sorts of ships, ferries, motor yachts and of freighters. …

We were staying at a different hotel, we went for a stroll and came across this place. We had a nice cold pint of beer with good service. We didn't go inside we sat outside as it was a lovely hot day. Later on that night we called in again for a nice dessert it was delicious and price was very good.
