all fabulous, great price and shared bathroom but no problem and it is so clean. Ideal for central Cochem with the Market place only 3 mins walk.

It was sparkling clean. Thesgared bathroom and toilet was very clean too. Very quiet at night too. Highly recommend!

Clean and neat facilities, well worth the price. GREAT location - very close to the Cochem castle and town square. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts!

The location is very near to the castle. 15-20 minutes by foot from the train station. Rooms are simple and clean.

Unfortunately, I can only give this a one-star rating due to the circumstances of our stay, even though the apartment itself was fine.But from the beginning:In August 2024 we were invited to a wedding in Cochem. So we booked a room in the Ziemons guesthouse in April of this year with a little lead time. Since we thought we were doing something good for the landlord, we didn't want to book via Booking but rather directly by calling. That also seemed to work because we exchanged data via WhatsApp and also received a booking and reservation confirmation there. This summarized the date of our stay, stated that the room was reserved and that we should pay the amount in cash upon arrival. We should also contact you by phone on the day of arrival so that the key handover can take place appropriately. So we checked the booking first.The shock came on the day of booking, when the wedding celebrations were already underway. We called as agreed and unfortunately the guest house couldn't remember any bookings. After a lot of back and forth, at least the WhatsApp message was found. But unfortunately all the rooms in our category were now taken. There were no more rooms in the whole of Cochem during the high season. Fortunately, the guesthouse found an apartment. Nevertheless, a discussion then began. They didn't want to waive the additional cost of the apartment and they blamed us for the situation, even though we had written confirmation. We would have been obliged to inquire again two weeks in advance whether the room was really available (of course it would have already been taken anyway). Quote "The company could have gone bankrupt or something and then as a guest you have to find out more about it". In addition, we could have booked via Booking and a secured deposit would have been paid (as already written, we did not do this via the portal out of good intentions and the guesthouse never wrote anything about a deposit). The end of the story was that we took the apartment because there were no alternatives, but it was definitely the last time we would be there.For anyone who still wants to spend the night there, this is an important note. Please do not book directly there, but only via Booking.

I can only recommend this guesthouse. Mr. Ziemons very nice and helpful, carried his suitcase up. Room perfect, great box spring bed, everything very clean, central and yet quiet, we will definitely come back. It was a really nice stay there. Until next time, Hiltrud Maus.

Everything was great, the apartment was really clean, the whole house was shiny. Great location, central but quiet

The single room has almost 10 square meters. The guest house has no WiFi and no possibility to make your own coffee or tea. A shower and 2 toilets for the entire guest house. All of this for €75 to be paid in cash without breakfast and without parking space for a car, motorcycle or bicycle. That's a joke and corresponds to a status from 1987. I had better and cheaper rooms in Thuringia in 1991.

The furnishings range from rustic to simple. The bathroom is quite modern and clean. But it was designed as a shared bathroom. A sink in the room would have been nice. But the price is interesting for Cochem if you don't need luxury.
