Going to Formula1 at Hockenheim, we needed a cheap hotel not TOO far away from the track. This place was around 30kms away, and was fine for our needs: Acceptable distance, nice and clean and cheap. Rooms are basic and rather small, but as we were not using it for other than sleeping, it was fine.

Not bad. Spacious rooms and freefi.de. I've been in worse places but speaking about cheap hotels in Ludwigshafen, there is one better choice near the Rhein Galerie.

Ladies and GentlemenI would like to write a review about Hotel Lu, where I recently stayed. It was a great experience and I am more than happy with my stay there.Hotel Lu is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. It's right in the heart of the city and easy to find. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and gave me a warm welcome. The hotel's décor is modern and stylish, with a pleasant atmosphere that immediately relaxes you.My room was spacious and very comfortable. The beds were comfortable and I could sleep well. Everything in the room was clean and well maintained. I also had access to fast and reliable WiFi, which is very important for me as my job requires me to work online often.The breakfast at Hotel Lu was excellent. There was a wide selection of hot and cold food including freshly baked bread and pastries, a variety of cold meats and cheeses, eggs, yoghurt and cereals. The coffee was particularly tasty and surprised me very positively.Overall, I can highly recommend Hotel Lu. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable, the WiFi worked perfectly and the breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in town.Thank you for the pleasant stay!

1. No parking options2. Clean is something else. Beds are full of stains and hair, I suddenly had the door handle in the bathroom in my hand,the walls are wet and the rooms smell musty, toilets are not cleaned properly and there are cobwebs everywhereNot necessarily a bargain for €80.The woman at the reception showed no understanding and said that in the 5 years the hotel has existed, no one has ever complained (the reviews here say otherwise). The complaint was not dealt with in a customer-friendly manner but rather brushed off with the statement “I don’t understand the complaint” and “It’s just small things”. Conclusion: Absolutely not recommended. Never again.

It was clean.Hotel ??? More of a fitter's shack without a local contact person. Booked and paid for breakfast, then the bang on site... - none available, only in the overpriced bakery. MONEY has NOT been booked back for breakfast to date (email contact for days!) WiFi??? Didn't run! Walls very thin - sleepless nights thanks to loud neighbors (think of the rest). Never again

All in all ok. The hotel seems to be relatively new and actually clean. The location is very good. Edeka (you can also park in the parking lot as a guest), ALDI, savings bank, pizza, hairdresser, pharmacy, kebab, bus stop, etc. are all within walking distance. The staff is also very friendly. The beds are okay, the bathroom is also okay. However, there is a strange smell in the room/bathroom. Unfortunately there isn't even a toothbrush cup in the bathroom...What's not so good is that it's incredibly noisy. If you're a light sleeper, you'll wake up as soon as your neighbors leave the room or someone enters the hotel at night. The breakfast is okay, but quite expensive in terms of price/performance ratio (2 rolls, sausage, cheese, etc. Coffee), the breakfast room is questionable... there are two large IKEA tables in the room with two benches each, which means you are sitting with strangers together on the bench at the breakfast table... whoever likes it... the furniture is also rather cheap. There is also no minibar/fridge in the room. A microwave and a coffee machine (although it costs) are available in the common room.The WiFi isn't necessarily the best either. You have to log in via Facebook (with automatic mail...) or by email. Sometimes you can stream Netflix, for example, sometimes not...The hotel is fine for 2-3 nights, I wouldn't want to stay longer. If it were possible, I would have given it 2.5 stars.

No dedicated parking spaces, only at the supermarket or free parking on the street. The hotel is on a main road, but has very good transport connections. …
