The owner is extremely rude. Check out is at 10am and the rooms are noisy. Although you get for what you pay as it is good value for money. Go there if you are on a budget

So far ok. Fresh and cold Tegernseer Helles. Big Wiener Schnitzel for the price of €15.90 ok, but the Pommes had a flavor of old fat. Side salad with Eisbergsalad, beens and carrots. As dessert we had a vanilla eiscreme with hot cherry-on top with spay creme

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed. The hotel was closed when we wanted to check-in and when we finally reached someone via phone he just said it opens at 5pm. …

The Gasthof Weidenau always offers us a consistently positive experience. The home-style cuisine is always of high quality. The fact that the head of the house cooks himself gives the whole thing a personal touch and probably contributes to the authenticity and freshness of the dishes. The rhubarb spritzer and the roasted potatoes are particularly delicious. The service also stands out positively, with friendly and attentive staff that underlines the cozy atmosphere. This combination of delicious food and warm hospitality makes for a welcoming experience that keeps us coming back again and again. A recommended place for anyone looking for solid, home-made cuisine with a personal touch.

The worst meal ever! Too much salt in soups. Salads incredibly sour -brrrrrr. Breading of the schnitzel is not baked. Breadcrumbs still half raw. Terrible! We cannot recommend the restaurant!

An inn that unfortunately cannot be recommended. The service is very unfriendly and didn't say anything positive about the runners who were there for the Tegernsee Run. The breakfast menu is very limited, you have to ask for eggs. You also have to order yoghurt from cups and coffee. Rotten apples in the fruit basket. Everything was very, very carelessly prepared. A small room in which the television didn't work properly, the shower head couldn't be fixed and hardly any water came out due to the calcification. No room to feel comfortable. An outdated inn where nothing seems to be done anymore. You also get the impression that the innkeepers are not interested in the guesthouse and restaurants. The food is sometimes overpriced, but the beer garden would be nice if it were at least open every now and then. Once and never again.

Service unfriendly, the landlord is rude, incompetent, unfriendly. Insults guests. Not recommended for children. Food is fine but the price/performance ratio doesn't fit at all. Over 10 euros for a meal subscription during the week. Beer garden would be nice if it was open at least every now and then. Never again.

Stayed there: simple room, broken bedside lamp, modest breakfast with the simplest food and not very friendly service. It's definitely not much fun to be here. …

Overall everything OK. We stayed there for three nights as a small group (4). Everything was clean and the price-performance ratio was reasonable. Breakfast was OK, some bread for a change might be good. Our service was very nice and you definitely shouldn't miss "the Weidenau Riesenschnitzel". The small beer garden for a beer in between is also nice and inexpensive. Our attic room was difficult to ventilate through the small window and the temperature was therefore difficult to lower on the hot summer nights, for which 1 star was deducted. The colleagues on the lower floor had it better. For us a very good starting point for hiking, as the Finsterwald train station is not far away and you can take the train quickly (~10 minutes) and every hour to Tegernsee (town) and of course back again by 10:42 p.m.
