I don’t understand the fuss that all the bad reviews are about. This was pretty worth it for the money. Everything is in pretty good conditions and it’s very worth it for the money you pay. To demystify some of the bad reviews: doesn’t smell damp, the rooms are clean, there is hot water and electricity and the room is not cold. The owner is also really nice and he gave us a ride back to Hof.

Luckily it was canceled in time!!!!! The hospitality and behavior is absolutely NOT existent. The description did not match reality. As an answer from the operator, I am posting a screenshot below. At the time of my reservation there was no internet on site, so no card payment was possible, which is essential as a business traveler, so I booked a higher class. In response: see photos

So I didn't think it was as bad as the reviews here are. The owner was friendly. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The hotel itself may be a bit old, but that's not dramatic.

Simple hotel, spacious room and excellent hot shower, a bit dated but very clean. Owner was very friendly and drove us in his car to 2 villages to find food for us.

Of course, at that price you can't expect a room that you would otherwise pay €80 for.The owner is very friendly and helpful: I hiked to the guesthouse in the rainstorm. He researched for me where I could eat something and even wanted to drive me there. The next morning he drove me to a bakery in the neighboring town, which according to the website was open, but unfortunately closed... Then he drove me to Hof! to a baker. I am very grateful to him for this help!

It was a very unpleasant stay and I would advise anyone not to book here. The building and inventory make a bad impression, it smells very musty everywhere and like cigarette smoke (despite the smoking ban), WiFi didn't work in the room. The owner also doesn't have a neat/professional demeanor, money was collected in cash before you saw the room (he already knew why), and there was no receipt. At 6:30 a.m. he suddenly poked his head into my room, apparently forgetting which room he gave me. 80 € per night (double room for single use) is far too high in terms of price-performance ratio! I certainly won't be coming back.

Don't be fooled by the pictures!!!Well, I'm pretty pain-free, but what we experienced there was crazy.I had warm water for 5 minutes when I showered. The rooms were not heated. The TV wasn't there because it was stolen. It smelled very damp.I didn't even want to put my toothbrushes in the bathroom... there was mold in the bathroom and a hanging toilet flush. There was no breakfast because the rolls only come from 8 and we could have had a better breakfast somewhere better for 5 euros. What is that?!?!?!I recommend that anyone who wants to stay in the “hotel” (whatever the name came about) should rather sleep in their car. At least it's warm there. And all for 45 a night!!!!! An impudence! We left after about 45 minutes of staying and took another hotel.PS: the one star is for the good WiFi...Anyone who sleeps here has themselves to blame.
